After years of using it, there was only once a brief release in which screen sharing actually worked. The only way I can share screen at the moment is by launching slack in any of chrome based browsers. None of the apps work. Not the native one, not the flatpak, not the snap.
My previous phone was OnePlus 8 pro and 5t before that. Both still work more reliably than this pixel.
I did hear that Pixel 8 pro is a better phone but I don't think Tensor will ever be as good as Qualcomm's offerings.
I'm not one of the people willing to sacrifice convenience for privacy. I really like Android auto and Google pay so imnho Android phone is useless without Google services, but I agree that there are simply no good alternatives at the moment, so I'll probably get another pixel when I smash this one against the wall from frustration.
Web apps are awesome on desktop especially when common clients like Skype and Slack are absolute fucking shit with zero dev time spent on them because Electron is a lazy alternative despite being shit software that needs to fucking die.
Thankfully --no-remote parameter still sort of works to make Firefox semi usable as a web app.
Pixel is garbage hardware though. I'm on pixel 7 pro now and it is the worst phone I've ever had. Shit battery life, shit reception, shit processor that lags constantly, absolute shit Bluetooth chip that randomly disconnects in crucial moments when I'm on important calls or REALLY need android auto. This phone is only good at taking pictures and the fact that I get exclusive spam filtering features. We badly need another alternative.
Proton is way too overpriced for older accounts with a lot of stuff accumulated and encryption is a gimmick unless you're only communicating with other Proton users. All companies encrypt email at rest.
I'm currently using and can definitely recommend purely mail. Obviously backup, but so far the service has been excellent. It's the only fairly priced service out there for personal hosting that supports custom domains.
I'm from Ukraine, but I've been to a bunch of countries that used to be Soviet republics and I can't say molasses were popular anywhere. It may have been used for animal feed, but not really popular in any human recepies.
Molasses were not very popular though. Sugar was mostly used directly. Tons and tons of fucking walnuts. Never heard of pecans until iron curtain fell.
Oneplus support is worse than useless and they do not stand behind their products. But I've had several OP phones and they worked just fine. They are definitely better on paper than they actually are.
I'd still consider this watch if it had android pay.
I'm in the same boat except my rates went up 200% because of a single accident in the last 10 years. Fuck Geico and every other insurance company. Private companies should not be allowed in businesses where people have no choice. And I'm saying this as a libertarian mostly.
I would not be surprised. I've done it many times including complicated setups with different databases as replica slaves.
I'm now seeing a lot of new projects that don't care much about DB backend since the library they use to wrap sql calls obscures all that stuff anyway, but I promise you mysql to Maria is a much more common and straightforward transition than to postgresql.
Huh? Postgresql is not mysql compatible. Mariadb is very popular in a ton of businesses around the world as a not stupidly expensive sql database with great support.
Couple of times I tried using it, the reps were super confused and kept asking me to reveal the name of third party on the line. As a joke I once replied Google Androidov and the guy just wrote it down.
Some straight up refused to speak to me because of third party on the line.
Most just hang up as soon they hear any kind of automated message.
I wish there was a silent mode at least available to single party consent states or for a list of numbers that tell you your call will be recorded without an option to opt out.
$100 sure feels much more solid than rtx that a ton of games don't even support. There are a bunch of people that just want to play in 4k and couldn't care less about features you call luxury.
That requires more VRAM and 7800xt and xtx deliver that perfectly.
D4 on Linux. Literally the only bottleneck is it eats 11GB of my 1080Ti's VRAM for breakfast and then still wants lunch and dinner. Plays 4k on high with prefect fps otherwise. Starts glitching like crazy once VRAM is exhausted after 10-15 minutes.
Zero issues on a 20GB card. I understand that shitty code on single game is not exactly universal example, but it is a valid reason to want more VRAM.
