If I rang to schedule something on Monday and they said they'd call me back and they haven't, would today be ok to call back? One thing I hate is seeming to be pushy. Is 2 days enough time? It's a busy time of year so I totally understand it.

FFS someone backed into my car when doing school pick up. Thankfully not much damage and to their credit they hung around to give me their details, but jesus I do not need the headache.

Was just thinking about nurses and doctors and their degrees, etc.

Not sure how that discounts anything I've said.

Few teachers I've spoken to reckon they come in under prepared because they don't have classroom experience (and don't use uni stuff, all they learn is in the classrom). Just seems silly when it's so important for learning to be able to do the planning and get the experience.

Legit question - why isn't education/teaching an apprenticeship instead of a 4 year (mostly) theoretical degree?

I finished my first assignment for this teaching period yesterday. It's not due until Dec 2. I leave nothing to the last minute, but the way things are structured they don't cover everything until the week before it's due - which sucks. But I average around 75% so far so I am doing ok with this method.

I had a dream I failed a uni assignment. First one since I started this degree.

So it has begun...the anxiety, the self doubts, the...troubles.

If it has a working dishwasher I'll buy it. It's been 7 long years of handwashing dishes.

I could buy the burnt out shell of a house....

Who am I kidding, couldn't even afford that.

Yes, I am starting to make plans and will hopefully move back around the start of 2026.
