  • I walk next door. I like that its close by and I can spend my lunchtime laying on my couch. I hate its close by so I'm practically always working. I would also want to listen podcasts during commute but all of them are too long for my commute. Overall I recommend living close to work. (it's my own business, I'm not employee)

  • Music piracy was big till spotify apprared. iTunes had a limited selection, music remixes, small band stuff were not available. iTunes only had what Sony and some other music distributors supplied. I understand what you are saying but still, piracy was there and iTunes was not primary source. Spotify came and now music piracy is basically limited to high quality audio albums which is a niche market.

  • There was a software developed in Bratislava called the Comenius Logo. It was specifically developed as a programming environment for kids and we did 2 full years learning it in primary school, I'm still thankful for my teacher for making kids learn this. He shouldn't have to do that it was not part of the program. I'm out of the education scene so I'm not sure if there are modern options to this but you may look it up as well. It uses a C-like code to move a turtle around the screen and draw shapes.

  • I know it is not working with every workplace but I often deliver packages to my work. Most carriers define the delivery time to an hour timeframe, some like ExpressOne are doing it down to 20min time frame with a live tracking showing your courier's progress to reach you.

  • They track you and then different kind of tools are trying to profile you based on your data. Similarly how ads work on the internet. Saying your car collect data of your sex life more like means they collect absolutely everything about you and then they run it through different software to profile you then sell all this data for extra profit. If you daily drive to a school they will assume you have a family and kids. If you go to a random apartment complex once a week after your kids went sleep they will assume you have a mistress. Its all based on location data and the stuff you enetered during registration.

  • You know even FedEx delivers packages into customers hands in Europe? You have to sign on their tablet that you received the package. They call you in advance if you are there for delivery and if you are nearby they even do a detour. This is general practice for all big delivery companiesike DHL, GLS, DPD, FedEx and many more.

  • They taste like the worst version of a cabagge and they smell god awful while being prepared. I do believe some michelin star chef could make me a version I can eat but it would be a much more involved version not just roasted till crispy.

  • For some reason I read it with that agressive shouting gangster rap voice and it was awsome. Tho chat gpt mostly pumps out mid content. Just reminds you how important is the creative factor that often lack in these generative contents.

  • It is not a one to one comparison, sco is significantly slower than the cashier (not sure about US but here Aldi/Lidl cashiers are madness). So i will just put a random number here but the ratio might be something lik 1:3 where 1 cashier would swap 3 SCOs. I still believe it is reducing staff and that is the whole point.
