  • Well, I think we should add you. I just want to wait to hear from @Martijn before doing it. I had something unexpected come up in my personal life literally in the past few hours and I'll be pretty busy for a couple weeks.

  • Do you mind me asking which communities you had previously moderated? Feel free to message if you don't want to answer publicly.

  • I recommended Metropolis. I've never actually had their roasted coffee, but when I was roasting somewhere that did regional exclusives on certain lots they would frequently be the ones with a lot I had but in the Midwest. So I can say for certain they're at least buying really good coffee.

  • Rad! I'm out running errands but I'll assume my duties when I get home.

  • I'd be willing to be a mod. I'm a Linux/Open Source enthusiast and professional roaster of 10+ years.

Do you have to have an account on lemmy.world?

  • I can't stand the wireless earbuds that you charge in a case or whatever but you'll have to pry my Sony WI-C400 neckband headphones from my cold dead hands.

  • All in the Sacramento California USA area more or less

    • Mast Coffee Company
    • Temple Coffee Roasters
    • Drink Coffee Do Stuff
    • Remedy Supply Co. (Shameless plug, this is me)
  • I've never been to Atlanta so I can't comment on the others, but I used to work with one of the East Pole founders back when I was roasting in Phoenix and I only have good things to say.

  • They discontinued the Domino's featuring Hatsune Miku app and she's upset and fucking up their servers.

  • Friendly reminder that Mike Row is literally a paid propagandist for the Koch family.

  • Having two different smoothies but lumping together every single alcoholic beverage is certainly a survey design... choice.

  • I mean, it lets you post pictures and videos you take with your phone. That's like the least concerning thing about it.

  • We're speaking English. "Forums" is just as, if not more correct than "fora"

  • I haven't had any multiple monitor problems since switching to KDE that weren't actually Nvidia driver issues. My "TV" is a third monitor on a long ass HDMI cable.

  • Fedora has quick updates, but big changes like gcc or gnome version upgrades, default desktop layout and included software, changes to the package manager, etc. all happen on numbered version releases. They're on Fedora 38 now. Rolling release distros don't have numbered releases, they just make changes whenever they're ready and the "releases" are usually more or less arbitrary snapshots. If you go to the Arch download page, you'd see that the current release is just the date the snapshot was made.

  • Two years for it to become enjoyable? What is it, a JRPG?

  • Same. I even went pretty regularly for months and tried all the different workouts and while I was in better shape, none of it was enjoyable in any way.

  • I want the timeline where Hinkley was a better shot.

  • Wobbly windows was when computing peaked. It's been downhill ever since.
