  • I'm not against it as a technology. I use it for my personal use, as a toy, to have some fun or to whatever.

But what I despise is the forced introduction everything. AI written articles and AI forced assistants in many unrelated apps. That's what I want to disappear, how they force in lots of places.

  • Fallacy accusations.

When someone does not want to argue about your points they will attack the way you used to made them. If you check hard enough you can find fallacies in most online conversations. So if someone wants they could easily accuse anyone of making this or that fallacy. Some of them being also kind of subjective. Was this a valid example or was it a strawman?

They would just change the debate subject and put you on the defensive defending yourself of making fallacies.

I just usually point out this attitude and end the debate when this happens.

  • I don't think they are actually zionist or pro-genocide. But they are definitely not good mods, and they just didn't handle it in a good way. It's not the first time I've seen problems with that community moderation team, they tend inho to powertrip. I suppose they are friends or the same people as feddit.org admins and that's why they defend them so much. But I don't think that moderation team is up to the task of moderating a big community.

Nothing wrong with it, moderation is hard, very hard. And not everyone is qualified for it. They should just step back. Or just close the community if they are so heavy censored by their country legislation.

  • What's interesting is that I got blatantly being called a nazi by those particular mods. I reported to admins and nothing happened.

So obviously there's a double filter here about "not tolerating accusations of nazism".

I just left, blocked !europe@feddit.org and became very wary of feddit.org administration. So this doesn't take me as much as a surprise as I have already seen issues with both that community and an admin team that's clearly not objective when talking about that community admins.

  • As I said it's not that crypto is inside de protocol. Is that the parent company (which is just the same people) made a crypto to be used with the protocol. On top of it. Which takes trust away from me. If they want donations ask for donations. If they want to provide a paid service then do a paid service.

But having a crypto they want to move around feels dishonest to me. People will be pumping the crypto thinking they are making an investment, thinking they are going to earn money or participate in some sort of circular economy but they will loose it, all. And the owners will get all their fiat money as soon as they can. I have seen it happen countless times.

If they do that from the beginning, what will they be doing in the future if the project take off? I'd better not find out.

  • Same devs of the Rad token which is said by themselves that will be used woth the protocol. You cannot disconnect devs of RAD and devs of radicle because they are the same people. It's like saying that YouTube have nothing to do with google.

  • Answer to both questions is the crypto scheme they have created. There is no logical explanation to it. We have seen it happen countless times before.

They could ask for crypto donations and that would be totally fine. But they are building a crypto scheme. And crypto schemes are build as pyramid schemes to get money out of vulnerable people. Anyone who make such a thing is not trustable.

  • The thing is that the purpose of such a system is to run away from enshitificacion.

If they are so crypto adjacent is like a enshitificacion speedrun.

If I'm going to stay in a platform that just care for the money I might as well stay in corpo platforms. I'm not going to the trouble of changing platform and using new systems to keep getting being used so others can enrich.

Git itself doesn't have crypto around it. This shouldn't have either.

And this is not even against crypto as a concept, which is fine by me. It's against using crypto as a scam to get a quick buck out of people who doesn't know better.

  • Thank for the time for an answer.

It is true that there are some differences I haven't considered. For instance where I live there's Universal healthcare, so going to the doctor for anxiety and getting medication would be easy and free, I have done it in the past when I needed. I suppose I'm very lucky of not needing an official diagnosis to be able to have easy access to treatments for the issues it may give me.

  • Not going into civil war. Basically that's it.

Democracy but don't destroy previous institution because some people would actually go to war over that.

I think eventually they all will fall. When people just stop seeing the point.
