Yeah this is how it works. I think NFTs will eventually change this in the near future, when a good artistic company will figure out how the technology works.
I would personally like to learn how to do this but implementing blockchain in a game is far away from my skills atm.
Interesting, old Mtg game better than new one. I was actually a pretty competitive EDH player on the table, maybe time to try MTGO. (Hope I can play it on linux since isn't on Steam)

I think in the future people will care much more about free software and privacy, so it's inevitabile that federated platforms like Lemmy will be mainstream.
Reply: I would like enought people to have more quality contents so that I can drop Reddit.
Also more people means more interest and at the end a better software.
Best app for my taste, similar to Infinity for Reddit.
