Thanks for the explanation. Second law of thermodynamics, as in, is the energy used to heat the solvent creates more CO2 than the CO2 it captured? What about algae or moss? They can be more space efficient than trees, and we can technically build a structure vertically.

Eli5 how carbon capture works? And why is it not violating the second law of thermodynamics? With the same money and time, are they better than planting trees?

That’s how I predict the next generation of social media will be. Completely AI-generated. Your feed, every single post you see, every comment, every like, everything. Imagine, no human moderator ever needed because they can generate content compliant with every single governance body in the world and advertiser-friendly. Post/comment you posted will be seen by no one, but LLM will comment on it and agree with you, giving you fake internet points.

Worst of all? The vast majority of people are going to love it. Do you remember when GenAI first came out and people hated it? Now fully AI-generated channels/content creators are everywhere people shared the hell out of it.

We are not far from there tbh, just need more desensitization about GenAI tech in the population.

As I explained in one of my posts, I believe it’s an excellent idea to establish a community identity (where all members share the same domain) and financially support it. Hosting and domain services are not free, and assisting admins in attracting more donations is one of the most effective ways to sustain a community.

Aaaa, in the original code, I was attempting to parse the date in the format mm:dd:yyyy. However, I used a different date format in the endDate, which caused the timer to be reset (since it crashed). Tip: you can copy and paste the Hugging Face link directly into the search box, and it will download the model automatically! Also, it’s pretty smart. It will load into your VRAM first, then your RAM. If you can fit everything into VRAM, you get the fastest speed. But even if you are using RAM, it’s not terribly bad; it’s still faster than you can read.
