On one hand, thanks to the nonstop giveaways, I have way more games on Epic than I do on Steam, so I have a reason to continue using Epic.

On the other hand, Epic's launcher runs like shit, constantly refreshes my library page, slow as hell, glitchy as hell, and makes me feel dirty when I use it.

Steam is just so cozy and is on the whole a much more enjoyable PC gaming experience. I imagine 95% of Epic users are people like me: sign in on Thursdays for the free game and then bounce.

Genocide of our indigenous population mostly. The worst of it ended in 1996 when the last residential school closed. Basically, the Catholic Church under the authorization of the Canadian Federal Government in the 1800s and onwards, abducted children from indigenous communities, took them to boarding schools where they attempted to assimilate them into Eurocentric culture by punishing them for speaking their own language and practicing their own culture. Beatings, sexual abuse, and neglect were commonplace, with many children dying of illness, exposure, or violence. Many children survived the schools and are still alive today to tell us about it. There are also mass graves at several of these schools where children's corpses were dumped and hidden from public view, until ground x-ray technology came around and we found the graves.

I think you're underestimating just how much Islamophobia exists in the world. People don't mind if brown people get killed.

The real trouble with learning most languages outside of English, is in English, we have a very casual way of approaching our own language. No one speaks with perfect grammar, and slang is extremely commonplace. This is great for English learners, because as long as you get most of the words out, everyone will understand what you meant. In German, if you don't speak it with utmost clarity and if you don't 100% nail the word order, people will look at you as if you have a learning disability.

In no way is this child abuse. Preventing your child from playing Paper Mario is though.

No one is defending Hamas shooting rockets at Israel, who has an Iron Dome to protect them anyway.

Again, this presupposes that every single person living in Gaza deserves to pay for the crimes of Hamas.

It's not complex at all. Palestinians have been ejected from their homes time and again by the State of Israel. Now they've been forced out of the West Bank and are all in Gaza, an open air prison. Hamas, a terrorist group, attacks Israel. Israel indiscriminately starts bombing Gaza where half of the inmates are children. Predictably, loads of civilians and children die.

People with a soul are on the side of the innocent civilians being murdered in an open air prison they were forced into by the apartheid Israeli government. It's really that simple.
