Because they're convinced it's true. Given that billions of people in the world ( I strongly expect it's the majority) would claim to be religious - perhaps the better question is: "why does anyone not believe in religion?"
There is a significant difference, but, in my limited experience, many people are religious, but don't actually believe, but they think they do believe. When the rubber hits the road you find it what a person actually thinks is
true.
I'm a Brit and I strongly agree with OP. Summer gets too hot and sticky - often even on grey days. It's not been too bad this year so far, but there's still plenty to come...
It certainly seems heavy to me. I'm not entirely certain what I'd replace it with. If money were no object and it didn't have f holes then I'd probably get a thinking Tele.
A Fender Telecaster. I love it, but my health isn't good enough to let me play on it very much. Plus, I sometimes wonder if I should've gone for a lighter guitar...
