  • Have you ever seen a commie drink a glass of water?

  • From a historical perspective, it's stranger that swearing isn't normal for some people; it seems to be a universal feature of human languages throughout history and around the world.

The exact swear / taboo words vary of course, but in general it does seem like just about every culture ever has had and used swear words.

A man, 17, born in Cardiff and living near Southport, has been arrested

I wonder if this was yet another chan / reddit incel

  • I guess "consumer pullback" is one way to describe what's going on with the economy…

  • "There are simply no more excuses. It's time for everyone to do their part," Newsom said in a statement.

  • Like many other states, Massachusetts offers tax credits for film and television productions that film in the state. In particular, Massachusetts offers credits worth 25 percent of a production's expenses and payroll tax liability incurred in the Bay State. If the credits exceed the production's Massachusetts tax liability, they can claim 90 percent of the remainder as a refund.

All in all the article was a bit of a hit piece against these tax credits in both MA and other states. Could be completely on point for all I know though, no clue if they're representing the facts accurately or not

  • There's that joke about how you can filter out right-wing extremists on dating services by filtering out everyone who has their political views as "moderate".

But yeah, like another commenter said, they seriously think they're in the majority – they're so stupid that they literally can't understand most people don't think like them

  • There's a subgenre of furries that are specifically into reptiles and they go by "scalies"

So I guess the opposite of furries could be "skinnies"?

  • lol that one Twitter comment in the article:

"Hey boss, sorry but I can't come to work today"

    "How so?"

    "A U-Boat parked me in"

    "???"

  • Yeah I gave up long ago. I regularly miss important emails but my life is kinda clown shoes anyhow so that's the least of my worries

  • If a court no longer takes the concerns of the citizens seriously, how can they still expect the citizens to take its rulings and actions seriously?

"Rules for thee, but not for me" is a classic though, and it seems like a scarily large percentage of the population actually wants that to be te norm

  • Yeah I can't help but wonder if having a black woman as candidate might be too much for some "liberals"

  • “Nothing in the Constitution compels a state court to provide a particular measure of deference to a state official’s confession of error,” Michel wrote. In other words, it doesn’t matter how flawed Drummond believes the case is, the court is under no obligation to take those concerns seriously.

Well that's a pretty fucking terrible way to look at things
