  • Is you are someplace it is legal you can buy concentrates, eg: live rosin, which relativity smell like nothing. I vaporized weed for years; whatever room you are vaping in will smell like vaped weed. The best you can do is keep it to one room. With concentrates someone will only smell them if you open a container and bring it to their nose, or if they walk through your exhale. I use a an e-coil and a banger, the alternatives are to use a butane torch or a e-cig typle device.

  • I've been enjoying kagi but it's tough trying to operate with a limited number of searches. For example: when I'm struggling to put together some basic python I'm used to iterating through many different queries to find the results I need. At 1.5 cents a search (or whatever) I have to be more careful. I can't swing $25/mo for my search engine at the moment.

  • I have space on the deck of my apartment that could fit a small array but without subsidies i've calculated it will take decades to pay off.

  • that was made worse by her restrictive diet.

Would it have killed her if:

One friend told 116.ru: "Ms Samsonova's idle starvation was causing her to melt before our eyes, but she believed everything was fine.

Seems similar to dying in a car crash because you didn't wear seat-belt. By not taking basic precautions her body wasn't prepared to survive something that many others can. To be fair- the survival rate for untreated cholera is only around 40% I just don't think her starting point of "slow starvation" was doing her any favors.

  • I think its all in how you ask. I always bag my own stuff because the baggers here act like bag costs are coming out of their paychecks or they're competing for "most items in one bag". I spend hundreds of dollars and don't want them to damage my food.

If I'm as kind as possible and they're still offended I can't bother worrying about it. Groceries aren't cheap.

  • If you were blocking them from /d/ already then I'm not sure that there's been any changes there.

  • Kbin has some unique features like: blocking an entire instance per user, seeing who votes on a post without being an instance admin, and access to the "microblog" parts of the fediverse.

  • I had been off Linux for a few years but recently returned to arch. I didnt feel like mucking around with everything from scratch so I tried the included install script. Next thing I knew I was in a full xfce environment with everything working out of the box.

If arch can drop you in a full DE of your choosing, from an install script, what is the point of these other options? Genuinely wondering what's going on with them and if I should check them out.

  • Nothing happens. They run out the clock until the next election. If Trump wins then it sounds like they won't need to worry about it. If Trump loses... they still got a few more years of majority for no cost. note: I'm not a legal expert, just a disillusioned American.

side note: life expectancy in Alabama is literally on par with North Korea and Libya (AL is slightly worse, actually). These leaders do not care about their people.

  • I knew which user this was immediately after reading the comment. Check out their post history, all they do is shit on the fediverse. Why are you here if it's so terrible? Hmmm....

  • It was redhat around 2001. I burned 3 discs for the install. I was installing on an old computer that was struggling to run windows. I think the DM was Gnome. I remember being in awe that it got up and running after having to re-burn some of the install discs to finish the installation.

  • Sometimes when you edit photos (particularly on a phone) the picture isnt actually rotated; its just noted in the metadata. Lemmy is not recognizing that metadata.

  • My girlfriend loves the bidet. You will not spray poop up into your bits but I get your concern. We also have a dial, on ours, to change the angle to vagina-mode. Great for periods, allegedly, but it blasts me in the balls if I don't notice.
