  • I disagree, I think offering healthier alternatives is better than simply giving up junk food by itself

  • The Tulsa Race Massacre beats it by a few months, May 31st to June 1st. It leveled around 35 blocks of a wealthy black community, partly using firebombs dropped from planes, which was known up until that point as "Black Wall Street". A 2001 commission put the death count somewhere between 150-300 deaths, and noted that the city aided in the massacre.

  • Ubuntu, either version 12.04 or 12.10 when I got my first computer, a Chromebook, in Christmas 2013 when I was 10. I hated how Chrome OS didn't support anything so I found a way to put Ubuntu on it and messed around with Blender and Minecraft. Despite this early start, I proceeded to do nothing productive with it, broke it out of frustration, and now I'm 20 and struggling with Arch lmao

  • I don't remember messing with the computers thenselves, but I do remember my friends and I finding the password to the public wifi and connecting to it for all of like a day (w/ a VPN so as to not get caught) before getting booted off and the password reset. Rinse and releat a couple times before we couldn't crack it anymore

  • image isn't loading for me so the only thing i see is the title 💀

  • For everything but VR, Arch Linux with KDE Plasma. For VR, Windows 10

I've played VR on Linux before with my Vive but it's definitely not feature complete yet. I just got Knuckles for it though so I've been using the Vive with them a lot recently, so I might start trying it more often. The lack of desktop view in SteamVR on Linux is really annoying though (I got it to work once, but that was the only thing that worked at the time lol)

  • is that a whole petabyte of swap???

  • Been switching between Arch and Linux Mint for a while now. I run Arch and EndeavourOS on my laptops (Arch on my daily 2-in-1, Endeavour on my TV laptop) but I can't decide which is better for VR on my main rig... probably because VR on Linux is kinda in a pathetic state anyway lol. Next week I'm getting a second GPU for simple display-out so I can use my 6800XT to run VR in a Windows VM, probably on Arch

Edit: landed on EndeavourOS, basically just Arch with a GUI installer, DE by default, and some other tweaks. It's what I kept turning Arch into pretty much lol
