Hehe yeah, this persisted over several days and through several reboots and on two different phones. No clue what changed as I understood iptraf to simply help me diagnose. But a run directly before and after running iptraf for the first time had different results, and now I am reproducing it every time.
Very strange - I just installed it, and as soon as I ran it, the output in Termux went from "Destionation Host Unreachable" to responses from my machine. Outbound pings from my machine also now get a response. I assume this was only supposed to help diagnose and not fix the issue? :p
KDE Connect is still acting up though, but at least they can talk to each other now! Thanks :)
ufw is disabled, so it shouldn't matter if it is set up or not, right? As far as I can tell I don't have any other firewall software running - I've not installed anything, so it would be the default Linux Mint-stuff that I would have installed and enabled in that case.
In what way does it fail on Lineage? My local banking app fails on CalyxOS - seems to pass the security checks (judging from init messages when opening the app), but get a nondescriptive error when trying to log in.
For playing on a computer and controlling with your phone? If so, there's KDE Connect that has multimedia controls. That might be what you are looking for?
I'm in a phase where I am testing out audio books for the first time, where I will read the physical book in the evening, the audio book when I travel by car and read the ebook-version when traveling to avoid lugging the physical books around. So far I like switching around a bit.
Hehe yeah, mobile gaming seems awful to me as well. Never heard about external fans. Seems like going out of your way to have a sub-par gaming experience.
Depending on how diverse your taste is, you could always try to branch out to something outside of "similar artists". Just look up genre names and start checking them out. If you find something you like, you can use the same " similar artists" approach on an entirely new search space.
What are people using their phones for that require such beefy processing power? I have a Fairphone 4, which presumably is slower than the Fairphone 5, and it is perfectly snappy for all my needs. Actually curious. Is it gaming?
Yeah, agreed. Blue Mars unfortunately had a little more of that the I remember from the other two. But the overall world building is impressive and interesting, and I don't regret reading any of it.
It is fitting that it has received a Hugo award, as Les Miserable by Victor Hugo definitely fits into the same category - he could waffle on about very uninteresting things for pages on end before returning to the interesting parts of the story.
Oh, I more or less just finished Blue Mars, but had to take my time getting through it all. But I've enjoyed it! Now I just started reading The Ministry for the Future :)
Agreed, I've had much more success with the horrors of .docx-compatability with OnlyOffice. It's not 100% perfect either, but has brought me less suffering overall. As much as I'd like to avoid Microsoft Office, depending on your situation that may unfortunately not always be so easy.
Thanks! I was trying to implement this, and was trying to figure out how to pass all the arguments! This worked for me! I got some other errors, but they don't seem related to this, so now to find out what they are all about 😅
