I know I'll get down voted for this, but from that site:
"Microsoft wants you to buy a new computer.
But what if you could make your current one fast and secure again?"
Kind of a sensationalized statement. I've upgraded tons of machines from 2015 and newer to windows 11 without issues. Sure, not all of them, but I'd say a majority of them, and the "upgrade" is free.
I guess I wanted to point out this piece isn't as doom and gloom as it seems.
I fucking hate how I can't listen to my music libraries in the main app now. I have a separate profile for other people in the house and I can't switch profiles with plexamp.
I made it so far in that one, I think, then I practically skipped tw2 and went straight for 3 and soon became so hooked. It's crazy how huge and dense that world is, with scenery that never looks repeated.
Also any idea on ram consumption during this period? If you're low on ram, and somehow something as simple as browsing Lemmy fills your memory, your computer will possibly page the game (move the running memory of the game from RAM to your HDD) which is significantly slower than RAM.
Ya for sure, I'm just speaking on a hardware level. Always been x86 as far as I was aware. I remember bypassing the disk encryption fighting every fiber of my being on the Xbox 1 by pulling out the IDE cable as it was booting to gain access to the HDD 😂
I think you should cruise this guy's channel:

He's very fair and uses all operating systems. I'm almost certain he's had a video on this exact question.
