I still wonder what's so different with my circle that so many of them use signal. I mean sure, none use only signal and all also have WA, but almost everyone I know, which is people from Flensburg (border to Denmark) to RLP (center-south), aged late 20 to 70+, use signal. Less than 10% don't.

Here's to hoping the new Wagenknecht party (essentially hexbear, the party) is going to take some of those votes away.

Soon, probably. Been in beta for a while. But I subscribed to a lot of communities back when I was using Lemmy federated, didn’t really have minimal content.

You could also use the subscribed view to only show communities you're subscribed to. The next version of Lemmy will have a filter to block communities on an instance basis.

No dryer. I take my functional top, as mentioned, into the shower and just wash it there, then hang it up and because it’s essentially plastic, it easily dries within a day. That doesn’t work for normal clothes.

And even if I had a dryer, I wouldn’t waste that much water and electricity to run the washer and dryer every day.

That some think feminism means female supremacy

Doesn’t help when some feminists think that as well. We have a famous and influential feminist here in Germany (Alice Schwarzer), who did a lot for feminism in 70s and 80s, but now is a reactionary who stands for TERF, censorship, mass surveillance, female supremacy, and "anyone who doesn’t like me is anti-feminist".

What water wicking under layer can I wash and dry within a day, though?

With Ski underwear, I’d worry about not being able to clean & dry them within a day?

For night runs a headlight is a life saver.

Heh, first run at 4:40 am or so. Wanted to run along the water. "Fuck, I literally can’t see the road". I ran laps through two 1-block parks which are not lit, but are bright enough from the nearby streetlights. Kinda liked that I can easily count how much I ran (both parks together are 250 meters), so I kept running there even for days when I ran later, and it started getting brighter.

I usually buy games for under 10, or kickstart them for more. This one's pitch sounded awesome enough that I backed it on fig originally, and now bought the season pass ;)

So currently, I'm just wearing my normal cargo pants, you think I could probably just keep going with those? Or are stretchy plastic pants something I would need?

Aren't thermoleggings usually wooly? How would they dry within a day?

What's a buff? Googling it suggests a brand, so are they just kinda neckerchiefs for wind protection?

The part about zippers for extra air is a great tip, never would have though of that.

I think it’s someone else doing a similar thing. I recently heard about it and with the 12ft shutdown I thought I’d try it ;)

Here in Germany in my circle (which has people from mid-twenties to 60+, from the North to the center), most people use Signal, with Telegram being a rare outlier. WhatsApp is what everyone uses, though.

Just as an idea: Would be good to have some USA reference in the title.

Mostly not that interesting to me, but damn would I love to see Zeal & Ardor (which I only discovered earlier this year) live. I hope they’ll do a tour in Northern Germany.
