  • They adressed this in the OP, stating that the .world admin team was contacted prior and was allowing them to keep all their rules.

"Trust me bro" is worth less than nothing when they dont respect the community enough to communicate.

Nothing about what I said is a straw-man, there are defined differences in admin level moderation which the mod team specifically stated.

So cut the bs about logical fallacies when none are present.

  • Irrelevant.

    Also...

but the community doesn't know all the facts that lead to that decision.

And the decision was to go to .world, where recently the admin team decided trolls are to be engaged with, where misogyny, transphobia, etc happens pretty regularly and doesnt "cross the line", with their reasoning being that the admin team was too heavy handed.

If that doesnt scream "Completely out of sync with the community" to you, I don't know what would.

No matter how you look at it - the mod team is far, far removed from being on the same page as the community. That makes them the wrong mods for the community.

  • The primary issue that incited this was because we don't fully agree with the admin's moderation policies.

    Clearly the community does though.

Which means the community is perfectly happy to continue on blahaj, its you, as the mod team, that aren't aligning with the community.

As someone who enjoys 196 (but only really participates by voting), I would just say that since you aren't aligning with the community, this isn't a community you should be moderating.

Make the !onehundredninetysix@lemmy.blahaj.zone mods the mods of !196@lemmy.blahaj.zone and move on.

  • I've got a few friends in similar situations.

    • One couple it ended up working out for a single embryo on the second to last attempt.
    • Another couple went the adoption route, ended up with two boys about the same age (one they adopted when he was a baby, the other was I think 5 or 6?). Both boys graduated college in the past few years actually! Great kids.
    • A third couple opted to just not have kids. They got a dog about a year after the last attempt, which became like a stand in for a child to them. They both kept working and financially are quite well off, traveling and exploring passion projects. It took some time and therapy, wasn't easy, but they are quite happy with where they are now.
  • .world is not the problem, this particular user is.

They literally said "I hate the disabled". I know that because I tagged them when I saw that. No it wasn't out of context.

Other instances they may have just been full on banned for their behavior.

  • Honestly nothing needs to be pirated really, you can find some great stuff on YouTube. Many of the programs are all the same stuff in different wrappings, so find a program you like and go for it.

For weight training, check out MidasMVMT (videos on YouTube, full programs on his website, all free).

For yoga/pilates, you may like Ashley Freeman and Saturno Movement.

If you want to keep them for your local media server, yt-dlp and off to the races. You'll also find some weightlifting, cardio, and general fitness communities here on Lemmy with great information as well.

  • I dont think you realize that by red dye #3 getting put up for evaluation, it was going to go through all those hands no matter what.

I'll say again - this is a super weird thing to get hung up on.

Meanwhile, herbal remedies are giving babies seizures.

Again - other work does not stop. More people <> more quicker (yes, this is intentional).

  • And this is an evaluation of that information.

Of all the things to get hung up on, I have no idea why this specifically bothers you so much.

This is nothing compared to all the other efforts they are involved with, its just media attention.

  • Without investigating, it could have been more dangerous and we wouldn't know.

These were the results. Not an issue that effects everyone, but enough that it should be banned.

There is nothing to complain about here. Thats how this works for anything being evaluated.

  • Well hilariously, its even worse/better. It was RSAs 128bit rc5, which would take waaaayyyyyy longer than an hour to crack. Like, supercomputers dedicated to the task for years sort of thing.

  • If that happens occasionally it doesnt bother me, what really grinds my gears is "Added second space after colon for readability" 874749574839 times. Its clearly being done to make it appear like they have done something of value and hoping it will just get approved without thought.
