Yeah I suspect Gov are hoping that waiting till the end of the year will give the right-wing windbags time to run out of fear-mongering steam, not sure if it'll work. It'd be nice if the debate was a bit less emotive by then.
Yeah it's worth having a job offer or two to fall back on, especially if they try to lowball you/mess with your job description. Worst case you're in a better bargaining position, best case you find a cool new job!
I reckon it'd be a brave manager who would try to enforce a make-up policy, especially if you're not customer-facing. I doubt it'd be an issue, I've worked with many a lady nerd who went without - and they're often the coolest peeps to work with. :)
End-of-life: The Pixels 4 XL, 4, 3a XL, 3a, 3 XL, 3 are no longer being updated by Google, so the CalyxOS releases for these devices only contain the fixes to the open source components, such as the OS code and the Linux kernel. Proprietary components such as the bootloader, modem firmware, and other firmware no longer get updates.
After a couple of decades camping I still can't see the benefit of a swag. A tent and mat often weighs less, provides a dry place to change/cook/have a cuppa in bad weather and can keep everything else dry too. Swags are tougher and a bit more convenient if you're regularly parking and hitting the hay in a rush but that's the only scenario that makes sense.
