yeah, the pandemic kind of brought how much of an asshole everyone around me truly was... and now I don't use meta.

Livejournal is still there. I have a permanent account from back when they allowed you to purchase an account for like $100 USD. I mailed them a check and everything.

All my photos and everything are still up. I see other people blogging there too. I still get email notifications from there too.

Just go back to using Livejournal. It's a fine platform honestly.

Hell I went back to using just tumblr and nothing else really aside from Lemmy as a message board.

No, I've seen services where they let you choose what ad to watch before the program.

Also I only see ad's on YouTube TV which was my choice to purchase. So I went into that purchase knowing that I would be getting ad's. It was my choice entirely.

I think they are amab but they ride the androgyny line pretty hard so I can't really tell.

I started wearing a trans flag necklace and noticed they started really warming up to me once they saw it. Last time I was around them they made it a point to stand very close to me to tell me something so you're right - I think I just need to ramp up my interest in them so they notice more.

It's so crazy you brought this up. I've been accused of faking interest in the past when I wasn't and was actually doing the thing on my own.

My last ex did this a lot actually. Great example - he started watching Columbo so I took an interest and also started watching it. Then he like got upset? Told me not to be interested in it at one point?

I had another guy do this too but with hip hop and he waited until we were like two years into the relationship to accuse me of not really being into old school hip hop? Like why. I was literally living with the guy and he would come in the room where I would be listening to stuff on my own. Hell I still listen to Three 6 Mafia and Digital Underground. I even knew about Digital Underground before I ever met him. Like it was such an outlandish claim that I was faking an interest.

I never once faked anything but I've gone out with numerous guys who pull this shit for some reason. The only thing that makes sense is they were trying to fuck with my head on purpose.

Now I focus on myself more cause it seems pointless to be interested in things other people are.

no, its a hobby community and its been running since at least 2014. There is a demand for it but only in that community.

So letting it die wouldn't be an option. It's not a ton of people but I can think of lots of communities that have like 300 ish people in them who would be fucking livid if that site went down.

They often compliment my hair and what I'm wearing but won't go further than that. One time I complimented their hair and they blushed HARD. Like put their head down and looked a little embarrassed. Like maybe they only want to compliment me and not the other way around?

I do hope they like cheese as much as I do.

This might sound silly but I'm trying to attract someone who told me in the past they have ADHD. Should I be doing anything differently?

oh yes! I remember hearing about this a few years ago from someone I use to be friends with. I always wondered why suddenly I'd be watching comedy central, and having to turn down the volume as fast as possible because some ad was just insanely loud.

I haven't experienced anything like that recently but I notice some channels are quieter than others. Like everything is more quite on FXX than it is on COZI tv. I feel like that's something else though cause the volume doesn't vary for the ads like it use to.

I do understand hating ads to some extent because when I was growing up, they made me feel uncomfortable but later on I realized it was because I was watching tv with other people. So it was really just other people making me feel uncomfy and not the ad's - when I watched ads on my own I found them interesting when I actually paid attention to them.

What do you mean by personal interest though? Most tv ad's I see now aren't even for someone like me. Like I have no need for viagra pills or dog meds. I'm not a guy with dick problems and I don't own a dog. I see a lot of ads for like 65+ people too cause that's who's left watching and they know it.

Yes and I believe I once saw an old recording of the guys from Alice In Chains doing like a live broadcast there for MTV. Pretty sure it was an episode of Headbangers Ball.

Big agree. I hate that I have to block news communities to get them out of my feed. I never subscribed to them.

I wish I had that rule back when I had roommates, one of which would constantly beg their wife to get delivery. It always caused arguments and would hold things up too much.
