Same here. I lost most of my friends after COVID.

Another one is how people will only watch things that are on Netflix or whatever the popular streaming app is now. Some people have asked me for film suggestions but when they find out that it’s not on Netflix, they lose interest even if I provide them with a link to it from archive.org or other very special places.

I hate this too. If its not on a streaming platform, I find most people are perplexed by it. People can't believe that I still watch old media either. They only want to watch brand new things. It's like they need to consume what's new and popular only.

For example, EA was voted “Worst Company in America” multiple years in a row, when it’s really just a software company whose worst sins would probably amount to gross overworking/general poor treatment of their employees

I know its not a tragedy or anything but they did ruin my favorite game. So that's why I don't like them.

It's interesting that you bring this up because I have been encountering people lately who have a different take on insects - that they actually kind of put insects above humans. Just yesterday someone responded to me saying I get attacked by bugs that, quote "You are not getting attacked. You just live in the same world like them and take up space that once was theirs before"

So like its my fault that I'm getting bug bites. Humans are to blame for existing in the wildlife and that's why animals and insects try to take people out all the time.

There's this popular poster on tumblr who goes by bogleech - their stuff gets reposted to reddit last I saw. They also support this idea that bugs are superior and humans need to just stop being afraid of insects and respect them more.

Yeah you mentioned humans gliding which is something I do with rollerskates and I actually agree with you - it's a weird motion to do with your body. It even feels unnatural to just glide forward or backwards.

yeah, I have been saying that for awhile now even before TikTok was popular and I got the same reactions you do. It's frustrating and its like I have to just watch everything get ruined.

Yeah, I notice differences in loudness based off what headphones I'm using. My over ear head phones make things sound louder than my ear buds do.

But I always assumed that was intentional in design.

I finally watched Freeway 2: Confessions of Trickbaby. I loved it even though its pretty offensive for also being super progressive for its time. Totally not what I ever expected either.

It's a big deal to finally watch it because it was one of those VHS covers I would see at the rental store growing up and I was dying to see it but there was no way my mom was going to let me watch a movie that was rated R. So it was always a mystery what the movie was for a long time and I really only knew that it had Natasha Lyonne in it who at the time, I had a crush on.
