  • I'm midway through the wall and no longer on the toilet.

  • Nope. There was an access box flush in the wall. He broke the wall, pulled it out and here we are.

  • It didn't want to bend. I wound up hitting it many times with a hammer to bend it inward.. not fun but hey it may work out.

  • The wire is inside a copper pipe. The line going to the box is a copper pipe with 2 wires in it. (I think its already protected.)

  • The wire to the box is inside a copper pipe. Its wall -> copper pipe -> electrical box.

The wires are in the copper pipe.

  • Funny enough he claimed this was the job and the only way to fully fix it would be to replace the whole wire pipe and break a line up the wall and fix it.. and charge at least a thousand bucks more for the pleasure.

    Ridiculous.

  • Don't forget that GPT4 was getting dumber the more it learned from people.

  • I don't think every distro comes with this. How is it a positive in that case? I could install VLC on just about everything (including Windows) and have a similar experience.

  • I noticed this a couple months ago. Just try to look at the things you want to see or are interested in. I stopped using Lemmy on my computer cause I found going to it to be too little content and/or depressing at times. It's kind of an echo chamber.

Reddit was better in this case. It was more subjective and had more umph. I didn't feel like I was reading the same thing over and over. (This is my opinion. Yours can vary). If ya still like Reddit, you can use both: it's a personal decision.

Still though, Lemmy works well enough for the morning poop on my phone with Sync.

  • Sweet I updated and broke my package manager and the system python. I guess I'll just reimage and start over.

    :shrugs:

  • Just move onto the latest Windows.

Windows 12 is not a subscription, that was a rumor and was already disproven.

I'm not hopping on the Linux train. .. and neither are most people, though you wouldn't know it from the Lemmy population.

  • Give me some love for adding an indent level either showing nothing changed or you rewrote everything too.

  • Thanks folks for ideas, but I was talking about just basically 'hiding' the conversations by pushing them to the 'archive' folder. (I already backup with SMS Backup/Restore).

I decided to write a quick/dirty (no guarantees) tampermonkey script to do exactly what I wanted. If anyone else needs something similar, they can take a look here: https://gist.github.com/csm10495/47c900978866770cdff934f6cd783665

  • I don't get why people like RCS in this context. It has the same problem as iMessage.

On Android you have to use Google Messages to get it. Third party apps don't work with it because Google never opened it up to them. How common is RCS without Google Messages? Even on Samsung phones it goes via Google.

How common is iMessage without an Apple product?

Why does Google want them to use iMessage? Probably since the data would flow through them.

    Same shiz, different company.

  • Can we call tax a junk fee and bundle it in all prices like in Europe?

  • +1. When Edge added a price tracker / financing thing, the same people threw a fit.

If you were pro that, you should be pro this.
