  • The CO2 per capita produced in China is significantly less than the CO2 per capita produced in most first world countries.

Even if an average first world person decides to eat no meat at all, they're still gonna cause more CO2 emission than an average chinese person.

This isn't to be blamed on China.

  • So you're saying that you are not willing to pay the price for products made in climate and worker friendly conditions.

Most people aren't and since "the little people" want harmful products, companies produce harmful products.

It is "the little people"'s fault. The corporations would offer climate and worker friendly products, if people bought them.

But the little people choose not to.

  • I see a lot of potential in Lapce, but sadly the extensions (which are necessary, since it has basically no ootb language support) are very poorly maintained and outdated. Last I used it the Javascript/Typescript support was simply not sufficient for active use. I am very hopeful for Lapce's future though!

Edit: Just checked and the TS/JS extension is still on version 2022.11.0. The code formatting still doesn't work (for me) :(

  • Would you not call Ubuntu a different OS than Debian? And if you do, would you find it unreasonable to say that Ubuntu offers Debian app compatibility?

GrapheneOS and stock Android have a similar relationship.

  • Signal messages are (verifiably) end to end encrypted. That means no one other than the sender and receiver can read their contents. You don't have to rely on Signal's integrity, since Signal is (verifiably) unable to read the messages' contents.

  • The one thing that stops me from using NewPipe is not seeing answers to comments.

It's such an important feature but it's simply missing.

Until that's added I don't think NewPipe will be an option for me.

  • Reminder that this, like many things associated with ADHD, is normal for neurotypical people, too.

It tends to be more common or more pervasive for people with ADHD, but it isn't exclusive to people with ADHD.

General tip: Whenever you see someone claim that a certain way of thinking is exclusive to people with ADHD, they're most likely wrong.
