Have you ever dumped a job right after youve been hired?

  • Yes... Got a job at a for-profit, predatory college. Lasted one week. It was so toxic and depressing. I worked in their computer lab/library area and wasn't anywhere near recruiting, but sat in meetings where they showed no compassion at all for their students, openly talked shit about other staff members not at the meeting, and were just generally awful. I got another job offer and even though it didn't start for 2 more weeks, I quit on the spot. I was really happy when it closed.
