  • This part was so well done. Building up the speedster as someone that experiences time at an accelerated rate compared to humans then showing this where 2 seconds must have been like years of agony for him.

    Really tragic and brutal.

  • Works well! No crashes or anything.

I think I got more fps on windows but I haven't really spent much time tweaking and I don't have actual measurements so it could just be anecdotal.

EDIT: I use Proton + Steam to play.

  • My friends and I used to do weekly apex nights.

Then they blocked linux. My desktop runs fedora and my other friend ran a steam deck. Ended up moving to Helldivers and DRG.

We played Apex for years. Oh well.

  • Lemme clarify a bit. I love reader mode too and agree it cuts out a lot of cruft.

My point was that authors and articles spend less time trying to write an engaging article and more time trying to shove SEO keywords and questions into articles. It ruins the article and makes it something not worth reading.

Reader mode is great but if the substance isn't there then it's all for naught.

  • The problem I run into is most news sites optimize for 2 things

    1. Getting on google
    2. Getting linked on Twitter or Reddit

So most sites have a fuck ton of noise and carpet bomb ads.

I'd love to go back to the RSS model but it's hard finding sites worth reading again.

  • It's a cyclical problem right? People keep using it because everyone uses it.

You gotta rip the bandaid off at some point. If enough people do then the influences and news sources will follow where the audience is.
