Quick digging: source appears to be a reddit post from LA that is light on details. This is voter fraud if true but a grain of salt is warranted I believe.
Just voting Harris and mobilizing others to do the same. That's the plan, regardless of how the poll numbers change. The media spin changes from day to day and will continue to until election day.
I'm looking for new ways to get the vote out in my area now. We just need enough ppl to go vote. We have the numbers.
Consider the teachings of Buddhism: “The seed of suffering in you may be strong, but don't wait until you have no more suffering before allowing yourself to be happy.”
Now, calm your mind and meditate on the knowledge that Cards Against Humanity does not have time for this shit.
This fight isn't over I think. Someone that knows more about law than I, want to help me understand what this means for actual abortion access in Georgia? Seems like this just kicks off some appeals process or state legal fight.
Edit:
Kara Murray, a spokesperson for Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr, said he would immediately appeal to the state supreme court. The state high court earlier reversed a separate ruling by McBurney that had struck down the law on different grounds and could put Monday’s ruling on hold pending an appeal.
The ruling, by Judge Robert C.I. McBurney of Fulton County Superior Court, is unlikely to be the final word because of the expectation that the case will ultimately be decided by the Georgia Supreme Court.
At a town hall event on Friday, Moreno bemoaned the fact that abortion has become the deciding issue for many suburban women, calling the notion “a little crazy, by the way, but especially for women that are like past 50. I’m thinking to myself, ‘I don’t really think that’s an issue for you.’”
The concept of empathy is completely foreign to these ppl.
I agree with you but also plead with you to drop that bluemaga shit. It seeks to divide.
Again though agreed. Not a Democrat but I usually vote that way.
I disagree the Dems are losing them (the young) though. I think abortion and other xenophobic ideals from Republicans are driving them to the left. I'm here for it. Let's get all those voices in the discussion. We need to be listening to them.
Hey good on her. I happen to be a fan of hers. Let me save the interested a click to either of those terrible platforms (watch it if you want to see the full response, I'm cutting to the good part here):
“I have so many issues with our government in every way,” she says. “There are so many things that I would want to change. So I don’t feel pressured to endorse someone. There’s problems on both sides. I encourage people to use your critical thinking skills, use your vote – vote small, vote for what’s going on in your city.” The change she wants to see in the US in this election year, she says instantly, is “trans rights. They cannot have cis people making decisions for trans people, period.”
Twitter response, my transcription (2:00 mark):
Roan: "So hear it from my mouth if you're still wondering, no I'm not voting for Trump and yes I will always question those in power and those making decisions over other people and I will stand up for what is right and what I believe in and like, it's always at the forefront of my projects and I'm sorry you fell for the clickbait."
