Best Movies of 2023 (So Far)

  • I haven't watched much new movies in 2023, among those though my favourite would be Across the Spider-Verse.

    I loved ISTV and expected a lot coming in to ASTV, but watching it blew me away and exceeded everything I could have imagined.

    Animation, and the music was awesome (I still listen to the soundtrack today).

  • Ashita no Joe for an old classic (Megalo Box for a modern take but it's only in Anime iirc). This is Boxing btw

    Blue Lock for Football (although still about youths)

    One Outs for Baseball (not your usual sports manga, more of a psychological thriller)

    Hikaru no Go for Shougi (MC is young but he's fighting professional players, like a young chess prodigy fighting Magnus Carlsen)

  • Like others have said, it's the niche communities. I still go to reddit some times because of small subreddits like r/progressionfantasy, or the subreddits for a book series.

  • I think "We were on a break!!" was just easier to portray and memorable. But yeah, doesn't matter if they were on a break, what He did was still not good and Rachel were reasonable to not take him back.

  • I know the referees pull them out of the hug but it's just not good when the fighters finally got close enough to go blow for blow then they hug and all the action dies down.

  • Ar Tonelico (the 1st one on ps2).

    I've played this when I was a younger but never finished. Was bored and picked it up.

    It's still a fun jrpg, the song magic amd reyvatail mechanics are a neat twist to the basic turn-based action.

    And "Diving"/dating sim mechanic of the game is a fun way to add some social aspect (besides the story).
