If my maths are right this should be similar to the average american spending less than $500

(Based on the american average net worth to be 1m and Elons net worth 270bil)

When you compare your worth to people who are twice as rich as you or even 10 times as rich as you, and imagine how much more they can afford and how easy life must be with 10 times more money, then consider that Elon is 270.000 times richer than you, the average american..
