  • It not being worth using is good, I want this malware practice to die.

    i'm sure there are already workarounds on windows, it's not like cheating has been eliminated there

  • I simply do not believe that it costs that much to cheat with kernel level anticheat.

    kernel level anticheat is pointless malware in my book, let it burn

  • Can't you just use a virtual machine?

  • That would be a massive win in my book, kernel level anticheat is malware.

    make it so that they can't block wine without blocking windows and kernel level anticheat is gone

  • No, I have no interest in cheating

  • So? I just want the games to run, I don't care about that side of it at all, that side of it is essentially pointless to me. There were always workarounds anyway, what does it matter?

  • Yeah kernel level with hacks is what I'm interested in, couldn't the wine client give fake kernel level control to them that's actually in userspace?

  • That is something I'm aware of but not what I'm looking for, I'm looking for news about workarounds, preferably new news, if there is any

  • Kernel level anticheat that thinks it's kernel level and runs in userspace is the best of both worlds though, is it not?

  • Yeah but that doesn't count tbh, if the dev has to give the okay we lose a ton of games, and that isn't what I'm looking for, the dev shouldn't be able to know it isn't running on windows

  • I have possibly the dumbest workaround to anything in history

            bindntr=CTRL,C,exec,hyprctl activewindow | rg -q "class: Wfica" && ( sleep 0.02 && hyprctl closewindow class:alacrittyclipboard ; alacritty -qq --config-file ~/.config/alacritty/alacrittyclipboard.toml --class 'alacrittyclipboard' --title 'Office 365 Desktop (SSL/TLS Secured, 256 bit)' -e sh -c 'sleep 0.03 && xclip -o | copyq copy - ; copyq clipboard | xclip -i' ) & ( sleep 0.2 && closewindow class:alacrittyclipboard )

        windowrulev2 = float,class:(alacrittyclipboard)

        windowrulev2 = stayfocused,class:(alacrittyclipboard)

        windowrulev2 = noborder,class:(alacrittyclipboard)

        windowrulev2 = noanim,class:(alacrittyclipboard)

        windowrulev2 = noblur,class:(alacrittyclipboard)

        windowrulev2 = opacity 0,class:(alacrittyclipboard)

        windowrulev2 = maxsize 1 1,class:(alacrittyclipboard)

    allow me to explain this monstrocity... the clipboard in citrix workspace is broken in a stupid way

    it doesn't update the system clipboard unless you move focus away from the window... and out of focus windows can't update the clipboard for security reasons... this makes it so that if I hit ctrl c when citrix is open it opens a terminal window that's tiny, invisible and steals focus that essentially forces the clipboard to work.

    nonsense hack, but it works

  • https://github.com/jamesmcm/vopono seems like this is exactly what I want, actually, might help you if you're looking for a simpler solution! thanks for the advice anyway though!

  • That's actually perfect, thank you so much! I've been wanting to switch from nordvpn because it's ass but i got 3 years for basically free, gonna switch to mull with this as soon as that runs out, awesome!

  • Ah, so, I should've been more clear, I have annoying requirements, I want qbittorrent to run through mullvad exclusively, and i want them to be intertwined and startup with eachother automatically. I don't want any of my other apps to be running in mullvad, is there a good way to do that? I think the socks5 proxy requires me to have it open and running, and thus everything would run through it, but maybe that wireguard method works around that? not sure, just wondering

  • He means by 100%... or he's even more stupid than we ever imagined and we imagined him being pretty stupid

  • Anybody got a nix config for binding qbittorrent to mullvad easily?

  • We really need servo to take off...

  • Permanently Deleted

  • Yeah I gave up on them because of that and the realization that I don't want my content censored
