Lol, idk to me Lemmy is Lemmy, just with a bit of difference in the feeds depending on what instance you're on is federated with

.world is already fairly federated, too much IMO since they still haven't defederated from .ml but I digress. So I don't feel like I'm missing out on all that much.

Its the dev instance and they run official Lemmy dev/support comms from there, they still have a few big comms and some of the only niche comms (both issues I aim to address through cross-posting) and they "keep the mask on" more and keep things subtle to avoid larger defed movements

But I was under the impression that they were just an admin and not a dev and that dessalines and Nutomic were the main devs with dessalines making architectural and roadmap decisions

but just handing it over isn't really appropriate.

Well I would hope, if they were open to it, they would have internal discussions with the main mods and maybe some sort of vote amongst their user base and/or giving those who'd rather not time to delete their data before anything changes hands

Is transferring it to someone else in the cards? I have an LLC intended for my own future instance plans, but I'd be more than happy to take over .ee under it to prevent the loss of another good Lemmy-verse instance
