Bringing An Obscure Apple Operating System To Modern Hardware

  • Lol you mustn't have seen the show, that golf cart has taken down literal giants LMAO

    Fair description though lolol

  • Lol this is gonna get removed because !memes@lemmy.world has a specific no political memes rule and I guarantee Geneva here is gonna complain all over .ml about how they got censored on .world lmao

  • In an uncontrolled re-entry

  • the difference between the "good" MLs and the "bad" ones is completely unclear.

No it's not, Tankies are very clearly defined to be "Authoritarians"

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tankie

Tankie is a pejorative label generally applied to authoritarian communists, especially those who support or defend acts of repression by such regimes, their allies, or deny the occurrence of the events thereof. More specifically, the term has been applied to those who express support for one-party Marxist–Leninist socialist republics, whether contemporary or historical.

    And it's demonstrated by

Perpetuating Russian talking points like Ukraines invasion just being a "negotiating tactic" https://lemmy.world/post/27012640 and their open declaration of support for Russia (direct from dessalines) https://lemmy.world/post/27352415 and even defending concentration camps as "concentration camps were just reeducation camps and weren't that bad https://lemmy.world/post/26985447

I've got Tankies supporting Trump because he's doing what they want: https://lemmy.world/post/28033872 and basically stating with Trump it's an ends justify the means kinda thing: https://lemmy.world/post/27950020 censoring comments that just say you shouldn't romanticize Stalin and the USSR: https://lemmy.world/post/27673934

And much much more on !meanwhileongrad@sh.itjust.works

  • Nope, all posts to a .ml comm will be cross-posted to the nearest relevant non-.ml comm as-is and in full (in most cases)

However, non-.ml comm posts will just get an upvote from me and only crossposted if I feel it fits a more niche comm as well

  • I'm cross-posting content from .ml comms to the nearest non-.ml comm as part of ongoing boycotting efforts to reduce .ml's influence to make defederation an easier decision for admins everywhere because of the .ml admins insistence to push their Tankie ideology through various means from censorship of views critical of Authoritarian regimes such as Russia or China (and even criticism of the right-wing)to allowing propaganda outlets (such as RT) to flourish

  • Checkout !meanwhileongrad@sh.itjust.works

It's not just people with different viewpoints, the admins are actively pushing an authoritarian agenda and censor any dissent against those views. And I have a bunch documented on that comm of the shenanigans they get up to. .ml is more subtle about things than the rest of the Tankie Triad (Hex and Grad) to avoid larger calls of defederation, but they absolutely share the same Authoritarian "ideology"

  • Permanently Deleted

    Jump
  • I tagged them last year as a "FUD/Misinfo spreader", every encounter with them has an 80% chance of reinforcing the tag lol

  • The actual food and service is probably only maybe a couple hundred to a couple thousand/plate

The rest of the price is the "donation". The tactic itself is not bad, many charities and fundraisers do the same thing, charge a hundred or 2 (if it's an event for us pleebs) per person for food and the event and the rest is your donation.

What the donation is for is the problem here

  • I hope its active enough in the Lemmy-verse to support it, I always considered that kind of comm to almost require a large amount of people to make it useful

Then again, the Lemmy-verse is full of nerds soooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Eh maybe maybe not, sometimes it's an opportunity to get them to spill more that others will see than they might have. That's why I did my best to ensure to keep calling back to the real point, .ml's crap

As far as the whole comic thing goes, that's genuine, fuck the Israeli government and trying to conflate any and all criticism against them as "anti-Semitism"

  • Please read the linked comment and down from there. For more context on why the specific site is brought up read up slightly.

Still, it's a bad moderation decision, not nearly as bad as having instance admins actively push a narrative and their personal political agenda like what is going on with .ml

Also please state whether you believe the comics are antisemitic.

I do not, from what I've seen they're rightfully critical of the Israeli government and it's policies and mere criticism of a religion is not anti-Semitic and in fact all religions should be openly criticized

  • How interesting the actual view from Wikipedia doesn't line up with that at all🤔

  • Looks like the issue was with the source and the comm you posted it in (worldnews is for articles not comics)

And it was expressly stated if you uploaded the comics to an appropriate comm without the tainted controversial source it would be perfectly fine. Have you tried uploading them to !comicstrips@lemmy.world ? Was it removed from there?

In any case, JordanLund is not an admin so worst case they'd just be a rogue mod, my evidence directly points to admin (e.g. dessalines and davel) censorship, mandates and propaganda pushing which is far worse. It speaks directly to the Tankie agenda they're using their instance for
