  • I'll join this.

I commented on a motorcycle thread a few days ago where the poster said "bike from 1982, over forty years old" (or something to that effect) where I had to do the math and realize... Shit... That was forty years ago.

  • I can confirm two in use simultaneously and a total of three connected (2 xbone, 1 PS5) but we were playing a two player only game. I would assume that if the game supports it, the deck would too.

    ... But that's an assumption :)

EDIT: to clarify - the wireless connectivity support is from the deck, not the dock.

  • I can't think of how there could be any but I'm not a lawyer 🤷

You're just preventing unwanted content from reaching your device.

  • I'd been looking for the nudge to cancel and the last round of ads did it for me.

  • Host it yourself with Ladder : D

    https://github.com/everywall/ladder

I started hosting this when 12ft wasn't working for many things. I told a friend and they said "what about 1ft?" Which I hadn't seen before. Now that other commenters said 1ft is shutting down, I'm glad I went ahead with self hosting Ladder

Also might check out /c/selfhosted for more self hosting info.

  • Same. I go through periods of printing a lot then getting busy and not touching it for months. I've noticed my PLA and PLA+ get really brittle as they age even when stored in a dry box and drying again before use.

I can usually get it to print but I have to be gentle with it.

  • My first thought as well.

"Won't cancel my membership? Guess I live here now"

  • Really? I'll have to look into migrating from AWS. Thanks for the tip!

  • I was going to make a remark about the price of dirt, then I remembered buying non-clay soil for the garden. In retrospect, it's cheaper than dirt.

  • Vas team high five.

I just don't like kids and the spouse has a genetic disease so it'd be 50/50 if the kids had it.

  • I'm not arguing with you, just wanted to add my own little info in the most applicable place (and to complain about touch screens :)

My 2017 Honda Civic doesn't have a touch screen but I did specifically have to get the "lower end" LX model. All the EX models I looked at were touch control.

Paying less money to ensure I don't get garbage I hate? Don't threaten me with a good time.

EDIT: I enjoy how I managed to accidentally format the "not arguing" bit in huge font so I'm screaming at you for some reason... Sorry

  • Praise the lord... for... panda butts?

  • Can confirm this. I teach a programming class and about two years ago my brain exploded when I was helping a student debug a problem said "o, you tried to reference the file but it's actually up one directory and inside another one so you'll need to include the full (relative) path"

The blank look of "what the hell are you talking about" threw me for a loop. So, then we talked about file systems for awhile...

  • Not exactly to your question, but a company I used to work for would ask for experience in internal only tools on job reqs.

Sure, hopefully it's for people making role changes internally, but it seems a bit weird to ask for experience in <custom internal tool it is literally impossible to see, use, or hear about without working there> for an entry level job.

  • Currently migrating a massive monolithic Java application to microservices... The circle of life continues.

Want to just swap jobs in ~5 years to keep the cycle going? You can migrate this project back to a Java monolith and I'll migrate your monolith back to micros :D

  • "Minecraft is proof that banning child labor was wrong. The children yearn for the mines "

  • And if they're hosting on one of these cloud platforms that is decreasing in cost, then they're paying less for hosting and increasing their profit margin even without the subscription increases. I never made that connection before... Excellent comment.

  • A hot meal? If you're eating the person who just suicided then you could probably stretch those left overs out for at least a week or two.

You might be on to something here....
