No, all of our hens are "normal" sized layers - speckled sussex, buff orpington, white leghorn, and black stars. Based on the color of the egg, I think it was from a speckled sussex.
I have one particular chicken that does this pretty regularly. Long and kind of skinny, often with an odd texture on the end, sometimes with a weird constriction in the middle.
I just want to note that this is the deepest reply chain I've ever seen on lemmy and my client is getting close to running out of horizontal space for the indentation.
Apologies for interrupting, just found it interesting.
Computer programming and related tech skills. Why? Because I've been doing as a job and for fun for over 35 years and have been teaching it for 5 so I guess it works out.
I replayed it on Deck a month or two back... And then Blue Shift. Still in my library from when I bought the Orange Box pre steam and then eventually registered it with my steam account

I started calling it "Grandma Debian" for some reason.
... I say this as a Debian user after new versions of Mint failed to accurately detect my RAID size. I tried Ubuntu for giggles, same problem, but Grandma Debian worked perfect out of the box.
To be fair, it is a software RAID in the BIOS and those are known to be odd.
Not sure yet, we've just been gawking at it and haven't eaten it yet.
