  • Do you mean your preferred browser, or preferred browser rendering engine? I'm fairly certain all of the major browsers are available on iOS, but they all have to use the built-in Webkit engine.

  • This is all similar to using Microsoft Windows or Mac OS so I guess people are so used to this behavior that it’s somehow ok.

    Not so much used to it, but just kinda sigh and accept it because I like my apps to work. I'm a long time Linux user as well, and I still have to keep a Windows box around for random shit that just refuses to work on Linux for various bogus reasons.

  • Have you given Ecosia a shot? I find it better than Brave's search, with the side-effect of not having a shithole CEO.

  • Moto's DOCSIS modems are pretty damn solid, too. I've had one at my MIL's house doing gigabit for a few years now and haven't had a lick of issue with them.

  • That's kinda what I'm thinking. It's just a new app that is part of Microsoft Office but also available standalone. Pretty sure you can also just... not install it during Office install, just like all of the other apps. They all work independently of each other.

  • Wow, two very small issues that Mozilla has done and quickly listened to user feedback and walked it back. Totally a legit reason to not use it.

  • I usually ask if they have an alternate messenger, like Telegram or even FB Messenger. Nearly everyone has something else y'all can start chatting on instead of SMS.
