  • Thought it was one of those cheeky art projects. Surprised it’s a legit site with relatively deep arguments and citations for reference (not as deep).

To be clear, it’s not exactly original. It’s “adapted from “So You Wanna Be a Cop?”, a pamphlet published by the War Resisters League.”

  • It’s wild how true that is. Wilder still that it seems only veteran redditors even notice it.

I wonder how much of the engagement is authentic vs. farmed or not. So much old content is being dug up and presented as fresh or OC.

  • Yup. The same with Karine’s answers about the President’s health yesterday.

I think they’re just maneuvering to give themselves room to back away from the remarks, which is standard politics. Comment on the now and then pivot when “new facts” come to light.

Though I do wonder how much in-fighting there is in the DNC. Maybe it’s Joe who is being stubborn and won’t voluntarily step down so they have to appear united, lest they look like the GOP and their Speaker debacle.

  • I’d probably jump off a bridge for Jon Stewart but I’ve been having a hard time with the show since he returned.

He’s always gestured and paused a lot but he’s been overrelying on it lately and you can feel the audience hesitate before catching the joke. A few of his interviews, he’s barely let the guest get a word in. They also do him dirty with his way too tan makeup that ends far enough below his hairline that you can clearly see the difference.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s still witty and vocal about things that matter but it’s not the old Jon.

I dunno, I’m just getting old.

  • Damn! Your list made me remember that I missed Superliminal.

Which led me to Stanley’s Parable, which I hated. I maintain that I totally missed something despite a few playthroughs to “the end” but it seems to have just gone over my head.

*Break the Game is $2 during the Summer Sale. Definitely trying it.

  • My game time is limited so I play what I hope to be most impactful. My list is chock full of unforgettable experiences:

    • Control
    • RDR2
    • Uncharted
    • Dead Space
    • God of War
    • Ori and The Will of the Wisps
    • Disco Elysium
    • The Artful Escape
    • What Remains of Edith Finch
    • Gris

The first three I’d say there was life before and then life after. The rest, I wouldn’t want to miss if I had a redo in life.
