  • My immediate thought about Reddit. Sure I discover some things there but what I really enjoy is seeing people’s reaction and genuine discussion (the quality of which is much better on Lemmy).

    I’d love to use RSS but it feels rather lonely by comparison.

  • It really has been getting worse and worse. I’m not in publishing but I’m pretty sure they (most modern media) post first and edit later, if ever.

  • I use the same extensions but I wish I had a better alternative to Hush, since it basically just accepts all cookies.

    Sink It is great but loads inconsistently for me for some reason. When it works, it’s awesome. A lot of times it doesn’t and no amount of reloading fixes it.

  • That finalized my decision to not self-host. I’m savvy enough to set it up but not enough to keep up with maliciousness like this. I’d never even considered a deliberate CSAM attack as a possibility - I thought it was just something (atrocious) users might inadvertently post.
