The bigger point in the context of this thread, I think, is that none of that is suppressed information. It's all on Wikipedia! It would be good for your country's misdeeds to be at least briefly run over in high school, but to say the american government reacts to this kind of thing the same way that the Chinese gov't does is whackadoodle.

I would also be sad if AI voices became common in cartoons because it doesn't give us a chance to hear new interesting voices from creative people. We would just get resurrected old voice actors.

I still don't understand! I feel so dumb when it comes to docker.

I'm writing an application in Django (a python web framework), and there are docker images for that. But somehow my code needs to get in there I guess? Or does my code go alongside the container in a predefined folder? When I'm developing and need to update the docker container over and over between changes for testing, am I crating a whole new container or updating the one I made originally?

I don't even get the purpose of the million images on docker hub. What's the difference between a MySQL image and requiring MySQL in a docker compose and making my own image?

Friends - how big of a deal is it to switch launchers to test another one? I'm on Nova and happy, but I want to leave. If I switch and don't like it, can I switch back and keep my old settings and stuff?

I still use Nova, but I blocked it from updating. I will need to switch eventually, but I've been very happy with it.

This feels like nonsense to me, looking at the numbers. The U.S. spends something like $80 billion a year on prisons, and prison labor supposedly generates around $9 billion a year. What is that, a negative 81% ROI?

Prison labor like we read about is not humane and would be unconstitutional​ in a better country, but I can't see it as the REASON for prisons. Ultimately, people feel good about punishing "bad" people. I don't think it goes any deeper than that.

That's sort of where I was too. It's often really fun, but I'm not sure it was GOOD.

Awesome! They're almost through the last season of SG-1 and working on Atlantis concurrently in air date order, jumping back and forth.

They watch the bad cartoon show when their supporters donate to a specific tip jar, and presumably they'll get to Universe, Origins, and the movies.
