  • The fun thing about The Last Samurai is that the title doesn't refer to Tom Cruise. He does not play a samurai in the film. He plays an American officer.

He hangs with a group of samurai, who are collectively the last of their kind.

That said, plenty of people complained about it in its day.

  • A hinged tirade would be completely out of character for MTG.

Wild dogs are hard to tame.

  • Happens to me all the time on a VPN.

It isn't every IP. I just change tunnels.

  • Yep yep, I didn't take offense. Tbh idk why I still do it. Just habit I guess.

Edit: I made an edit but I won't say what it was. :)

  • Maybe it is. I always considered it a courtesy since otherwise it can be difficult to see what was edited. It's from my reddit days.

  • But if the file system needs extra writes anyway for CoW, and the SSD needs its own CoW, then wouldn't that end up being exponential writes? Or is there some mechanism which mitigates that?

  • He knows nothing about a lot of things... that is part of the problem.

  • I don't disagree with that. They're also a much smaller group so I think it just stands to reason.

But I do appreciate that they're taking chances (probably for the same reason). Cosmic is quite impressive already and a good alternative to Gnome/KDE/Cinnamon; better than the Pop Shell on Gnome.

    Edit: a word

  • Boomers waiting until something affects them directly before making the right decision? I'm sure no one saw that coming.

I appreciate that the whole generation isn't that way, but at the same time, the number of Boomers I have personally interacted with who have absolutely no understanding that they are not the main character is way too damn high. A little empathy would go a long way, especially when many of them in the Boomer voting bloc are too old to ever see the effects of their vote.

  • It's more expensive for a worse game than V or VI, both of which can be had for the price of dirt.

    Not surprising.

  • These results are what I would expect given how much immigration is a scapegoat this time around. Pure hatred on the part of Trump voters, fueled by propaganda. No amount of logic will end that and they will always support what fits into their skewed worldview to avoid cognitive dissonance.

There is a reason why the "Denazification" of Germany after WWII was more so a process rather than an event.

  • Gotta shift that Overton Window.

I think it is safe to assume that anyone peddling something like "I'm just asking questions" / "I'll interview anyone" is ultimately attempting to shift perception. It is a tried and true tactic of propaganda and control through media.

Statements from such politicians are no different. They serve no purpose but to make the claim seem less crazy the next time it comes up.

  • Yes. My gaming rig has been on Pop for years now.

I hate the idea of still being on Pop. But it's so damned pleasant.

    Now on the Cosmic alpha.

  • budget neutral

What the actual fuck. If you trade gold for bitcoin, you no longer have the gold. Budget neutral my ass.

  • There is no passing the buck for matters of national security. The "party of law and order" should know that. They crucified Hillary for far less.
