  • Cool. Not for you then, eh?

"Bakery down the road is closing" the person on the street corner says to anyone listening, "here are some alternatives"

"I don't eat baked goods, they're bad for you" you reply

"O- oh okay. Thanks for letting me know... I guess. Wasn't really talking to you, then"

  • Implying "insanity" could be taken either way. It's insane that we're putting this much emphasis on what is ultimately an extremely uncommon occurrence, and one that objectively has no impact on the competitiveness of sports. It it's also insanity, from the perspective of bigots, that "men" can compete in women's sports. I know what they're likely getting at, but by playing dumb I can get them to out their actual position and then call them out for their bullshit.

  • I want to make something clear. Between Gerrymandering, the amount of political advertising, the overwhelming power of "lobbying" (see, legal bribes), and outright propaganda being touted as news, the American people have the smallest control over their government than ever. This is the government our oligarchs chose, one that wastes as much time doing nothing in order to let the rich rob our collective coffers.

  • So, Patch 8 is preparing for stress testing later this month (from what I've seen), so that would imply most development work is complete and they're doing testing and bug fixing right now. That wouldn't require most of their resources anymore.

  • Lots of people have difficulty putting into words why something is funny. It's usually not something they can easily put into words unless they have a background in comedy. I'm not overly bothered by it.

  • One of my special interests is humor (probably because of my difficulties with it) and I like to know why things work. If you can't put it into words, that's fine. It's a fairly common response, to the point where "it isn't funny if you have to explain it" is a common saying.

Don't tell people it's not important if they ask. That just makes people feel excluded because it's clearly important to them.
