Meh. Looking forward to this show dying and making way for the good, new Trek shows, like LD, SNW, and Picard's Season 3 (sorta).

So tired of Michael Burnham and her stupid "Magical Burnham Problem Solving Mary-su Solution Express". Really too bad, because Saru, Tilly, Georgiuo, Staments, Adira, and basically all of the other characters are REALLY interesting in this show. Unfortunately, they didn't relegate Burnham's character for being a "get out of writer's block free card" to the background and that basically doomed it.

Honestly don't give a damn about this because I'm not investing in yet another Google service to be killed off in 3 months to 3 years.

I think Flatpaks are great for applications like Firefox, Steam, etc. where dependencies or delay in package distribution due to building multiple versions can be a problem.

However, there are many situations where Flatpak's sandbox can be more detriment than helpful, if the application wasn't developed with that in mind. It's not a silver bullet for everything.

Have you tried granting additional permissions via Flatseal?

I recently trashed my HP and bought a really old Dell LaserJet from government auction. $25 and it came with a 60% full toner. Been using it for 2 months and still have 54% toner left.

I'll probably never replace this thing and keep fixing it until I can't find parts anymore.

Important to remember that not all Chromebooks are created equal. There are some that have i5/i7s or Ryzen CPUs in them that will rival most laptops. I see $200-500 USD Chromebooks all the time with decent specs refurbed or clearance.

It includes everything except RAM, Storage, and the USB C modular ports. With all of that you're probably looking more like $575-600. They do, however, have 8GB of RAM for $15, cheap storage options, etc, so it's a pretty good deal overall for such a repairable and upgradable laptop.

Framework has their 11th gen Intel laptops right now as a barebones for $499 USD from B-stock, new components, if that interests you.

Otherwise, Chromebooks that you can flash replacement coreboot are another good option.

I've heard the drivers are a mess for gaming. Better off with Radeon for Linux ATM. I made the same consideration several months ago and the poor compatibility and performance numbers pushed me to a 6600 XT.
