The Steam Deck is amazing.

Yeah I could see socialized rental housing. I think socialized rental with individual privatized ownership of things like Single Family/Townhouse Homes would work. Cheap housing for rentals while you save to buy a home.

Home ownership is an important part of building wealth in America, so unless there is a radical shift or we go significantly more socialist in many categories, it'll still be necessary for individuals to be able to buy a home.

I work for a company in Texas, USA. We actively discourage Windows being used in our organization and push people to use macOS or Linux.

Landlords are fine. Corporations should be banned from owning single-family homes and be forced to stick with apartments. Apartments should have rent control.

As long as their demonstration is against military targets (and not what Israel would classify as a "military targets"), I say let them. Bomb every Russian military base within 200 miles of Ukraine into a crater. Russia only seems to respond to a show of force, unfortunately with its current leadership, so give it to them.

I just feel bad for the Russians who have to live under Putin's rule. I know several Russians who have fled Russia to avoid drafts or persecution. Hearing them talk about how they "probably will never be able to go home again" is heartbreaking.

I'm not even surprised by the racism in the Republican party anymore. It's just sad how hateful these people are.

It's almost like people can grow and evolve in a nearly two decade span of time.

I grew up in a Conservative Christian household and was taught to be homophobic, not to trust anyone who wasn't a Christian because they could be "activated by the devil to work against me at any time", and grew up with parents who casually used racial, sexist, and other hateful slurs about people.

Now I'm a very strong LGBTQA+ advocate, actively volunteer for my local Democrat's office doing phone banking, and am extremely left leaning in all of my views.

I'm not saying that's what happened to Walz, but he seems like someone with a big heart who's trying to do the right thing. If he's lying about who he is, I'll be damned if I can tell. He'd have to be exceptionally good at it to seem as genuine as he is. I'm not saying he's a saint, though. He is human. He's going to have flaws.

If you want "Apple-like" look and feel, KDE Neon, Ubuntu, or Pop_OS! are good first Linux distros to start with.

I took the joke as Manjaro is a poor impersonation of a pure Arch install, so it's half-assed like the users. It's a meme, though, so don't take it too seriously.

Also, if you use Manjaro, it's just a joke and you're still awesome for being a Linux user.

When Microsoft started enforcing online accounts to use my computer. It was then that I fully jumped ship. I was using Linux way before that for my media server, HTPC, etc., but it was that and the Steam Deck that made me finally fully jump.

And Ahsoka. And Andor. And The Mandalorian.

I mean.....that wasn't a baseball. It was a steel ball.

That said, it's a stupid vehicle that is stupidly designed.
