My problem is that usually they try to make the videos longer for ad reasons, so you end up with a paragraph's worth of instruction spread put over several minutes. What a waste of time.

I genuinely don't understand why people watch YouTube tutorials for coding - it's not a particularly visual subject and most tutorials could be written out in an article that takes a minute to read.

Hackaday.com is my favourite blog on the Internet and I've been reading it for over a decade, it never gets boring.

Software for djing, it allows you to mix tracks together to make a long seamless set of music over many hours. I've used it extensively and it's an excellent piece of software.

Can anybody explain the rationale behind this?

Spotify increased the price of everybody's subscription by £1/$1. They have some 200 million subscribers. That's at a minimum an extra $200m a month. Is that really necessary?

If you look at the reply from the person I was actually talking to, you will see that they do not care for the world as a whole. I was not making the point in the comment you are referring to, I was just replying to that person.

My point is that we should care about the world at large and we should lead by example.

To be fair, the world would be perfectly well off if humans ceased to exist

Of course it is not entirely certain that offspring will have the same ideals as their parents, but it's clear to see that younger generations are moving in the right direction whereas older generations find it harder to change their behaviour and values.

My parents put me on this world which is on the trajectory it is, I do not blame them. At least I have the opportunity to do good in the world.
