  • It's a separate legal issue.

The sad fact is he already had his asylum denied years ago and is eligible for detention and deportation to any nation except El Salvador. The fact that he can't be held for pretrial detention for the bullshit human trafficking charges is immaterial to that.

The second he's acquitted, I expect they'll deport him to one of the other torture prisons they're opening up.

There's no happy ending for him without a US regime change.

  • I don't think there's a person on the planet who would take that bet in good faith, except maybe Trump himself.

He truly believes he's a genius. Everyone else on the planet, including his supporters, knows deep down that he's by far the dumbest person to hold the office.

  • That's simply not true. People can't be expected to know what's going on under the hood of services designed specifically to simplify things for non-technical users and conceal what's under the hood.

  • My local officials are pretty protective of us.

At the same time, the state just passed a law limiting severance pay to municipal employees to 60 days, so that when they outlaw a bunch of our functions we also suffer when our jobs aren't legal and nobody is hiring statewide.

I love some of the cities I've worked for, but God I hate the Texas state government.

  • I think the idea is that if he's acquitted, they'll just deport him somewhere other than El Salvador, which they can legally do.

He missed his window to apply for asylum years ago, so the non-removal order protecting him applied specifically to deportation to El Salvador. He can be sent elsewhere, and with Trump trying to open concentration camps elsewhere, I think he'll eventually end up in a different torture prison.

    I hate this reality.

  • I definitely use Uber Eats because I'm hungry, not lazy. That's why I ise it exclusively from work, where I rarely get to take time for lunch, and instead have it delivered so I can mute my mic mid-meeting and eat.

I could meal-prep, but between getting up at 5am, getting home at 8pm, and helping out at my parent's place on the weekends 200 miles away, I simply don't have time to cook for work.

  • ICE is just gonna detain hum instead as an illegal immigrant.

As long as this administration has power, he'll never be free to walk on Americam soil. They'll just end up deporting him to a different torture prison that isn't in El Salvador when he's aquitted, since they actually do have legal justification for deporting him to anyone that will take him that isnt El Salvador.

  • Impeachment is specifically NOT a legal process but a political one. Trump's second impeachment acquittal was based on impeachment being a political process, and that the criminal justice system was the correct venue for J6.

That's also why the Justice department policy on not charging a sitting president and the SCOTUS ruling that Presidents are immune from prosecution are bullshit.
