  • The real solution is to change the party in the primaries.

As flawed as the DNC is, starting a new party will split the non-Republican vote and guarantee the GOP sweeps.

"Change the system!" Yeah - the last Constitutional ammendment that was ratified was in 1992 and had been introduced in the Washington administration.

  • Trump's team very carefully which Court orders to initially openly defy. Lots of people don't see the urgency in defending the rights of "gang members." But what he's doing is setting the precedent that people can be sent to overseas labor camps without ANY due process.

Lots of American citizens may soon find themselves being accused of being Venezuelan gang members or agents of foreign "terrorist" groups.

  • Soon, you'll need it to fly domestically.

They actually set this up pretty far in advance though. For instance, I'm from Texas, where any IDs issued since October 2016 are complaint. It's impossible for me to have a current ID that's non-compliant.

So from my perspective there won't really have been any changes since 2001 in my flying experience.

  • I think it can be dangerous because of the presentation, and singling out ASD.

There's lots of otherwise harmless things can become danger multipliers.

Being sleepy is harmless. Driving a car is very slightly dangerous. Being sleepy while driving a car is incredibly dangerous.

Being on the spectrum isn't dangerous at all. Radicalized people can be slightly dangerous. Sociopaths can be fairly dangerous. Gun ownership can be slightly dangerous. Radicalized sociopaths with guns on the spectrum are worth worrying about.

But the solution isn't singling out the ASD, but other factors that can be more effectively controlled.

  • Let the GOP force them to become a state. They'd get 2 senate seats and more electoral college votes and congressional seats than any other state. Just in time for the Dems to run on deannexing Canada.

  • While most of that is true, they actually did let the Mickey Mouse copyright expire, and Mickey as portrayed in Steamboat Willie is now public domain.

But instead they're using trademark. There's a reason they've started using Steamboat Willie in an animated logo.

  • American here:

Don't travel here. Don't buy our products. Don't sell us your products. Isolate us. Feelings about the American economy are the number 1 predictor of elections. We need the American economy to be in ruins to defeat these fascist fucks. The only other option is violence, and another American Civil War would be catastrophic for the world. We're swimming in nukes.

Yeah, we shouldn't have got ourselves (and by extension, eyeryone else) into this position. But we have, and we're asking for your help because our opposition party was too fucking incompetent to keep the least-popular President in American history from being elected back into office, and we need them to sweep future elections just to slow the bleeding in 2 years.

  • No, this one is pretty clear. The FTC chairs very specifically cannot be made up of members of a single party, with a maximum ratio of 3 members of one party to 2 of others.

If he really wanted to skirt the law without ipenly defying it, he could invent a new, fake, political party for replacement commissioners. But Trump has zero interest in obeying the law now that he's been specifically granted immunity from prosecution for violation of the law.

  • My student loans were private, not federal, which actually worked out great when it came to discharging them.

Defaulting on them fucked my credit for a while, but then it left my credit report after 7 years. And my debt to income ratio was so fucked from them anyway that it really didn't hurt that bad, and it was okay in 7 years, whereas paying double my rent every month would only cover interest and keep going indefinitely.

  • It also forces Trump's hand. Either publicly reveal, right now that he is an all-out dictator instead of slow-rolling it, or fold and lose any momentum he has.

If a violent revolution is needed to take him down, the sooner everyone knows about it, the better.
