Sadly, encouraging people to vote goes against the Republican platform, because a higher voter turnout would absolutely demolish them.

Like it or not, elections are a popularity contest, and having Taylor Swift and Caitlin Clark showing support for Harris is a good thing.

Even if you don't know who they are, they're big names who will turn out voters.

Exploitation of labor is a huge problem in many industries, but the amount of desensitizing horror and PTSD that occurs in slaughterhouses and meatpacking plants is on a whole different level.

I won't speak for other vegans, but my research into beekeeping and honey production turned me against the industry for the following reasons:

• Beekeepers will commonly clip the wings of queens to keep them from swarming or leaving.
• Semen is commonly extracted from bees by crushing them.
• Honey taken from hives is commonly replaced with a nutrient-devoid sugar solution, affecting the health of the bees.
• Selective breeding of honeybees has made them more susceptible to diseases which can also affect native insects.
• Honeybees have been shown to cause serious disruptions to plant-pollinator networks, putting local pollinators at great risk.

They don't give a shit about your stolen items, and 9/10 times it's a complete waste to even contact them over "petty theft", regardless of how valuable the item/s are to you.

When I was in college, my apartment got broken into. The cop that came when I called was less than helpful. Some highlights:

• He immediately argued with me that the crowbar marks on the door frame must have been there before.
• I told him about the TV that was stolen and he bragged that he had two TVs that were larger than that.
• He tried to bust me for weed when he saw my hookah. I had to explain to him that it was in fact not a bong and was only used for tobacco.
• He mentioned that if it were him robbing me, he would have stolen the microwave instead.
• As he was leaving, he told me that they wouldn't be able to catch whoever did it, so they weren't going to look.

Found out this weekend that my uncle owns 40 houses in Indianapolis and complains about how aggressive homeless people are and how we need armed cops to deal with them.
