  • You should also take the post with a grain of salt, In addition to his shitty politics, Lunduke doesn't have the best reputation for truthfulness in his tech reporting.

He's fudged numbers before, and often makes clickbait titles that just are not supported by his blog posts or videos.

The shitty politics were not the only reason I started ignoring his dumb ass.

  • Seems to be a Qanon guy. Or he was for a time. I've not paid attention to him in years.

He also always came off as a grifter in search of a con, so the Qanon shit might have been part of that, but who can ever tell with those people.

  • And Israel doesn't give a fuck about those hostages, IDF forces have flat out murdered a few themselves.

Also, why is Israel bombing the West Bank if they're just fighting Hamas? That's the wrong side of the country, unless the goal is ethnic cleansing.

  • Part of the effort to keep third parties off the ballot is that you make shit infinitely worse.

It's called the spoiler effect, and it fucks us over all the god-damn time.

Do not vote third party under our current electoral system.

You need to either work within the current system like the Progressives do, or work to change the system to one that doesn't fuck people over if they vote third party.

If you want to get involved with actually doing that second thing, here's a great place to start.

  • I grew up in Wyoming. We didn't get most of that well...

We did hear about lynching and Malcolm X. Not much in details about either, mind, but we were told that both had existed. They glossed over anything that Malcolm X stood for, or actually said, or did....

As for lynching... We learned the word.

  • $40 per child per month.

That's still not much, but with a little budgeting and meal planning it goes further than you'd think, if not as far as it sometimes needs to.

I've lived on not much more than that per month.

It does mean zero luxuries, and that might be the worst part of it.

So I do agree with you that it should be more. We should all have a bit more. No one should ever have to scrip and save in order to eat each month.

Every man woman and child should be guaranteed food, water, and housing as a minimum.

  • The only place I see liquid fuel being used is in commercial transportation, particularly in shipping and rail. Anhydrous ammonia would be perfect for shipping, and a nightmare anywhere else. That shit will fucking kill you in an instant, and those who survive just wish they were dead.

So it should only be used in highly regulated professional settings.

That said, it's still a wonderful fuel option for those settings.

This electrolyte swaps shit? I see it as an attempt to reuse all that gas station infrastructure all over the place.

EV chargers are all over as well these days, but they're still not anything near as ubiquitous and gas stations.

  • Yes and no.

They believe that the pope can be infallible, but only sometimes. And sometimes means twice. As in, it has only been used two times.

There is no set list of ex cathedra teachings, but that’s because there are only two, and both are about Mary: her Immaculate Conception (declared by Pope Pius IX in 1854 and grandfathered in after the First Vatican Council’s declaration of papal infallibility in 1870) and her bodily Assumption into heaven (declared by Pope Pius XII in 1950).

Based on precedent, your pope name seems like it needs to be "pius" to be eligible for infallibleness.

  • Likud isn't just a continuation of Herut, they merged with the remnants of Lehi, a full on terrorist organization from before the 1949 war.

A surviving member of Lehi then became the first leader of Likud, and his first act in power was to give all the surviving terrorists commendation medals.

That terrorist turned prime minister was also Netenyahu's mentor.

  • It's the only thing that works. Shouting Nazis into silence is the best early way to deal with them. Show up to protest in huge numbers, deplatform them, force them to scurry back into the shadows.

Most importantly of all, keep them from recruiting more.

Once these efforts fail, all you're left with is violence, and violence will come, because the Nazis love it.

  • That's not quite the story. Or it is, but only in the broadest of strokes.

The real story boils down to Harlan Carter, and his bullshit.

See, prior to 1968, the NRA did get involved in politics. They were consulted on gun regulation, and even had a hand in helping to write the NFA and Gun Control Act of '68.

This pissed off Harlan Carter, who was a racist, unrepentant murderer, and former head of the US Border Patrol, into staging a coup for the control of the NRA leadership.

He then instantly started running the NRA as the propaganda arm of the gun manufacturers, and was paid handsomely to do so. It's also when the NRA "got into politics".

It's also when they somehow collectively forgot about the second half of the Second Amendment.

  • Actually, no.

Bullet voting is just a thing people do.

Even in places that have been using versions of RCV for decades, about 30% of any given population will bullet vote.

That's info from FairVote themselves (The main proponents of RCV, even if they're sort of scummy in their advocacy)
