People who want money for specific things and will eventually be satisfied stop long before reaching billionaire status.

8 years ago I'd have thought "Elon will step out of the limelight to avoid upsetting Trump so he can use his White House access to make a ton of money." Now, I know he's just as narcissistic and stupid as Donald Trump is.

Mehdi Hasan (I think that's him by Mike Johnson and Jordan Peterson) and AOC don't belong on here. If that's Zelenskyy over there on the right by Ted Cruz, I don't know his politics too well but given what he's been doing these past few years, I don't think he deserves to be lumped in with the rest of these, either.

Bold move putting Taylor in front. It's well deserved, but bold.

I work in the industry and I have no idea why anyone would use anything other than the EZH2O for indoors. The other ones aren't even any cheaper.

I think the only plausible scenario that would draw away enough voters for the party to actually get replaced would be for a social democrat or progressive to win the presidential primary but the party leadership takes it away with convention or superdelegate shenanigans. If AOC runs, it might happen.

I think the optics of "we did everything we could" will be important, if it comes to that.

If they outlaw congressional stock trading, I'm fine with them doubling their salary.

Democrats have, again, learned nothing

They already know full well they need to make a populist shift to win. They'd rather lose than alienate big money.

No shit. The people who leave when you arbitrarily make their job worse will obviously be the people who have better options.

The thing that made me so pessimistic about the future of this country was when I learned that the people who advised Hillary's 2016 campaign were still advising Harris' 2024 campaign. They failed multiple times and the consequences have been catastrophic, but they held on to their positions anyway. I have no reason to think they won't be back in 2028, because the people who have a say in who gets party leadership are people selected by the old leadership. We need a borderline hostile takeover of the Democrat party, and after Trump did it to the Republicans, the existing powers in the Democrat party only entrenched themselves further.

This country is totally capable of fighting off creeping fascism. It's the Democrat leadership that's not up to the task.

The problem is the right-wing propaganda mill that they all trust more than even friends and family, which will furiously insist it's anything but Dearest Leader's fault.

If we're referring to restricting who can use your IPs as a form of quality control, I can see where you're coming from. I fail to see how jealously guarding consumers from accessing games released years ago has anything to do with the quality of what they release today.
