At least Tony Stark in the comics saved the world numerous times and he invented most of his own shit, rather the Elongated Muskrat taking credit for shit he had no part in.
The right will endorse violence against reasonable and intelligent people. They'll just say that the UkraNazis are justified because the ebil Russkies deserve it.
They'll still whine and complain about being held accountable. I straight up saw a thread once that stated "tankies being right doesn't mean they're right!"
Unless I'm missing something, I don't see why there has to be a dichotomy. In a communist world, no reason we couldn't fairly compensate workers and manage the environment for growing bananas.
I understand your last paragraph, I'm just pointing out that unfortunately in international relations, the Global South doesn't have anywhere near enough influence to challenge the west in it's imperialist hypocrisy. All Russia has to do is be half-decent, and that's automatically a boost compared to the west.
I'm skeptical of that claim. I won't say that the burning didn't happen, and I'm extremely hesitant to take even a hint of truth or credulity from western media. But it seems like that video is from back in 2015, rather than the current conflict in 2022.
Of course the overall conflict dates back many decades, and the UkraNazi coup and Donbass shelling started years ago and never stopped and this conflict basically continued to this day, but I'm hesitant to say that the story of Ukrainians burning a Russian soldier on a cross happened recently.
But still, it was a horrific event, no matter what year.
I understand and sympathize or agree with most of your comment, but I feel its built on the predicate assumption that NATO cares about international law. NATO could blow up a fucking school bus and most of the wealthiest countries in the world would still blame Russia.
I've legit seen liberals make this argument using different wording before.
