  • How independent is Relic really if they got bought by an unnamed external investor? Still better than getting axed and hoping the same kinda layoffs won‘t just come later („The studio hasn't indicated if it will lay off any workers as part of the shift“).

  • CPU usage in Monster Hunter World is also quite high and installing the performance boost mod from Nexus doubled the FPS for me. I don‘t think I have a single Japanese PC game that doesn‘t have performance problems.

If you wanna pirate a Denuvo game, you better get comfortable cause those take a long, long while.

  • I wanna say they‘re not chasing whatever FROM‘s been successful doing recently, but… yeah

I absolutely love Nioh and Nioh 2, avoided their parry game because of mediocre to bad reviews like these, and this now is a PS exclusive so I guess I don‘t even have to make up my mind…

  • Really good to see, gonna check out the HUB video too.

Sadly, no DLL swap possible to instantly reap the benefits in older, FSR2-butchered games…

Gonna be interesting to observe how many devs are gonna go back to update their games, especially on consoles.

  • Lots of the DLC crap was stuff you unlocked by playing in the past. I remember playing DoA 2 and unlocking costumes, DoA 6 has like 2000 bucks worth of DLC costumes or some crap lol

  • Anything with pixel graphics or at least no 3D graphics. Slay the Spire, Spelunky, Super Meat Boy, Stardew Valley, I bet Rayman Legends, these kinda games.

3D graphics can run well too if the game‘s sufficiently old (Half Life 2).

  • My pipe dream is a bunch of new indie studios forming out of all these layoffs and kicking publisher‘s asses on sales with new competent and passionate games.

…But I guess they‘d then probably sell to those publishers again and repeat…

    1. I still have no idea what the game‘s about
    2. It‘s likely cross-gen with the Switch‘s successor and I hope it‘ll be technically more competent than their last Pokemon game - especially since it‘ll have to run on the original Switch again
