Well cool, I hope it does. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but the Nintendo Switch interested me for the occasional mario kart session. But all the Joycon drama scared me off from buying one. I'll hold out for a few more years before splurging - I'm in no rush, I rarely game or watch television anyway lol

TL/DR - they're using mini solar tower collectors to concentrate and collect sunlight to charge PV panels. This produces a lot of excess heat (enough to melt steel) - the heat is pumped away via water into an underground vault where the heat is stored until the evening where the heat is converted back into electricity using conventional off-the-shelf materials and hardware.

I haven't done much with Excel and Word these days, but I have not had a single issue opening standard documents. The PDF import capabilities for LibreDraw work reasonably well. Many MANY years ago I fiddled with OpenOffice and then LibreOffice before moving to Office365 for a while.

Now I'm back to LibreOffice for the past 5+ years and haven't had any complaints

Yep, exactly. As cool as DU rounds sound on the battlefield as a competitive advantage for piercing armor. They are a health risk to both the soldiers handling them and absolutely poisons the soil which will have an affect on future generations living on that land.

Lol, oh sweet child. You have much to learn about what a corporation says, and what they're forced to do by government regulations. Without them, corporations can (and will) do anything they want for the sake of more profits.

Unfortunately, with a country run by a bunch of geriatrics who hardly understand the concept of the "internet" and hardware/software, let alone the nuances of different social media platforms or how different communities within the internet interact.

I avoided chrome for a long time. Finally I made the switch because FF was getting too slow on old computers back in the day. Lasted for maybe five or six years before I started getting some bad vibes. Why am I letting google run the web browsing software I'm using? This can't/won't be good in the future.

At least five years ago I made the switch back to Firefox, and haven't looked back. I love having adblocking that works (I use a router level ad block and ublock origin just in case to ensure I block almost every ad on the internet lol).

I'm honestly surprised it took people this long to decide to move away from Chrome.

It's bliss - at night with the windows open it's dead silent. No cars zooming down the highway, no dogs barking at all hours of the night. No annoying lights from your neighbors shining into your house, and you can actually see the stars at night. All you hear are the sounds of nature.

Plus there's no HOA and enough land to have a small orchard with a flock of chickens (both for eggs and meat production) to produce fertilizer/compost for the gardens/orchard.

Luckily the grocery store is a 15 minute bicycle ride away (so the car stays at home most of the time). But you're absolutely right - the home gym necessity. I'm constantly adding equipment (since a home gym is never "finished" lol). I like using my Fitbod app since I can tell it what gear I have at home to play with so it'll generate routines using only that equipment.

Yeah, but foraging for wild mushrooms is something y'all are taught from a very young age. You're taught what kinds are safe to eat, and what ones to absolutely avoid. I highly doubt anyone with a scientific background would just randomly eat mushrooms without positive identifications.

Why did you make the stupid decision to take private loans?

Dude, you wouldn't believe what kids are told. My former assistant at a previous job was literally encouraged by his parents to take out personal loans instead of education loans because they were extremely fiscally uneducated and were trying to help their son get a loan without knowing the difference. And being a young teen, he didn't know any better than to listen to his parents when they suggested where to get a loan and such.

I was in higher education for ten years. I paid my way through using a combination of private savings, and eventually my father convinced my boss to pay for my education if he wanted me to work full time (I was a REALLY good employee at his small business). I fortunately graduated debt-free unlike most of my peers.

Yes, I worked my way through, and I "earned" my degree the hard way (I made my boss millions through my own hard work for his company so I earned that degree).

But, I still 100% support any kind of student debt relief for everyone struggling to pay off student debt. It's called wanting a better life for my fellow human. That money in their wallet would be better spent in the local economy, not paid to some mega bank corporation swallowing up interest on student debt.

I guess I just have compassion for my fellow human being over some ruthless corporation.

Dang, I know that when Manganese oxidizes, it turns water green. I've seen photos of some people's hot tubs when they fill it, shock it, then watch as the water turns green. No amount of chlorine can get it clear again - because it's not algae but usually oxidized manganese. Some of the tub's I've seen are VERY green like swamp water green, it's crazy.

Fortunately manganese can be sequestered from the hot tub to eliminate the issue. But I wasn't aware it was so bad for your health!
