Same here. $630CAD, $442US. I'm sorry, but there's no way I'm paying close to that, Nintendo.

Chucklefish were the (former) publishers of stardew valley. Perhaps that's where the confusion came from.

They do kinda owe people something - at least those that contributed to the funding of the first game. Silksong was originally a 2nd playable character that was unlocked as a reward from the Kickstarter for Hollow Knight. Then it turned into a DLC, and now it's turned into a full game.

Until Sword and Shield, the games weren't known to be ugly, buggy messes. People have, and continue to, praise the 2D pixel art of previous generations. Sun and Moon is an odd middle ground as some people started to not like the 3D direction, but thought it'd improve on a more powerful console, like the Switch. I don't think it's correct saying this is a staple of pokemon games. It's a staple of modern pokemon games, which I absolutely disagree about the last 2 entries being the best. Far from it.

I know Retroid are kind of the more "affordable" option, but after my RP3+ broke from just regular use and cheap parts, and them not helping me because of discontinued support for the device, I don't really want to spend more money on them. At this point I'd probably rather save for a steamdeck, despite it being huge and clunky. Retroids recent items are just ugly as well, IMO.

I'm still meaning to try any of the silent hill games, but I've played both the original RE4 and the new remake multiple times each. I think they're both fantastic.

I've been wondering this exact thing lately. I've got a retro handheld that is breaking because the company seems to have used cheap parts internally, and they no longer support repairs or selling the parts. After only a year of owning it, I feel pretty annoyed, so started looking at alternatives. Steam deck was one I was considering, but the price point means I'll need to save for a while.

I played the Wii and the HD. Both many times, but I couldn't tell you the difference other than the controls. Not sure if that says more about me, or the game...

All of those are due to the drastic increase in jobs during covid. This is happening in many, many tech related careers. It is not because of inclusivity. Get your head out of your ass.

I can't be the only one that has had issues with game pass, can I? I've tried it 3 separate times for 2-3 months each on three different PCs, and every time I've had different issues.

The windows client has been buggy. Sometimes clicking things just... doesn't work. The pathing for save files is done in such a way that you can't transfer them from PC to PC. Some games just straight up not working. The list went on for me. I figured I'd keep giving it another try on a new system, but not anymore.

I've read some people have absolutely zero issues after years of using it. I wonder why the experiences vary so highly from user to user. Game Pass was an interesting service, but a horrible experience for me.

Something to consider. With conversion, new games are usually $80-$100 in Canada.

People still buy them.

I just restarted Ys Origin! I love that game.

The original Resident Evil 4 was, I believe, the first to change up the format from the fixed camera, among other things it shook up. RE4 and RE4R are very similar games, while the remakes of RE2 and RE3 are pretty different from their originals.

It’s weird that a game can be made after initially being backed by fans and then absolutely slated by those same fans, but I guess the world works in mysterious ways.

How is this weird at all? People hopped on it because they wanted more Megaman by a major creator and contributor to many Megaman games. Turns out, with only one cog in the Megaman machine, a great game does not make.

They had a trailer for Witcher 4 come out recently.

I don't think it sucks, but I have a lot of opinions about some of the balancing and character abilities.

It's fun enough for me and I enjoy playin with friends, but I don't think I've quite found a character that really speaks to how I like to play - which is a bit odd considering how many characters there are.
