  • we got a glimpse of that before he got his hair transplant.

Not shitting on anyone that gets transplants, or decides to embrace their baldness; just shitting specifically on Elon, because fuck his anti-worker, anti-consumer ass.

  • Hey, if these guys do everything they can to make sure their companies' "achievements" are considered all their own doing; let's be fair and attribute all the fault of their failures as well.

But you're right, billionaires ride on the shoulders of the people that do the actual hard work.

  • I guess, all depends on what type of driver you're installing; but I had to install win10 on my brother's PC last week, these are the steps I had to take to install AMD's drivers (because the ones included with windows suck):

    1. Open Edge.
    2. Download Opera (his browser of choice) and install it.
    3. Google "AMD Drivers", go to the website
    4. Lookup the exact model of the processor: "Ryzen 3 3200G".
    5. Try to guess what fucking .exe file to download, since their descriptions are vague.
    6. Double click the .exe.
    7. next, deselect bloatware, next, install.
    8. Error on installation
    9. Lookup error code.
    10. Turns out Windows was downloading (not installing) an update at the same time, without telling me.
    11. Wait 15 minutes for windows to finish doing whatever it wants to do, without user consent.
    12. Reboot machine.
    13. Try again. Next, next, deselect bloatware, next, install
    14. Reboot machine again.
    15. (OPTIONAL) Curse Bill Gates, Steve Balmer and Satya Nadella for making me waste my time.
  • Also, the file system. For the longest time windows used NTFS exclusively, which is (or was) slower than Ext4 (the most widely used on Linux).

I think MS is moving away from NTFS and are going to use a different file system in the near future (maybe even now, I don't know anymore)

  • I get the sentiment, but don't thank far-right groups for anything. They're not doing it to "free the people of the dangers of religion" they're doing it out of pure hatred towards other people (specially since most far-right groups are religious themselves). Even if you're not a muslim anymore, they'll probably find something else to hate you (and me, and most people in the world, actually).

  • I think where privacy minded people fail to understand is that for most people we are not committing crimes or shady shit online therefore why care?

Yeah, I hate that argument (the typical "If you don't have anything to hide, why should I worry"). Because you might not have anything to hide (debatable), but you know who does? Journalists, political activists, people in witness protection, people who suffered from domestic violence or human trafficking and need to hide, etc....

Don't collectively erode people's right to privacy, because there are people whose lives depend on it; and who knows, you might need it some day.
